<a href="https://bsc.news/post/interlink-overview" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">InterLink</a> just crossed 7 million verified users, adding a million in roughly a month. That growth lands alongside two significant updates: Version 4.0.5, which is already live, and Version 5.0, which the team says is coming soon. Together, the three developments signal a project preparing to move from its mining phase into something closer to a functioning Layer-1 blockchain.
<h2 id="span-span-strong-why-does-the-7-million-number-matter-strong-span-span">Why Does the 7 Million Number Matter?</h2>
User counts in crypto are easy to inflate. Bots, duplicate wallets, and airdrop farmers can make any project look busy. InterLink's count works differently because the platform uses Proof of Personhood technology, combining face scans with liveness detection to verify that each account belongs to a real individual.
That means the number represents verified humans, not just sign-ups. For a project built on the idea that real identity creates real trust, that distinction is the entire point.
The milestone also shows acceleration. The jump from 6 million to 7 million happened faster than any previous million-user stretch, with community activity concentrated across regions including India, Vietnam, Ethiopia, and Nigeria.
<h2 id="span-span-strong-what-does-version-4-0-5-bring-strong-span-span">What Does Version 4.0.5 Bring?</h2>
Version 4.0.5 went live on&nbsp;<a href="https://x.com/inter_link/status/2034176253847052597" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">March 18, 2026</a>, and it closes out the 4.x update cycle. Two additions stand out.
<h3 id="span-span-strong-news-page-strong-span-span">News Page</h3>
The app now includes a built-in News page where users can follow real-time updates from official sources directly inside the platform. It is a small quality-of-life feature, but it keeps users informed without relying on external channels.
<h3 id="span-span-strong-connect-social-strong-span-span">Connect Social</h3>
This is the bigger deal. Connect Social lets users link their Instagram, Facebook, X, and TikTok accounts to their InterLink profile. Verified social connections strengthen a user's credibility score and feed into the platform's Human Credit Score (HCS) system.
The team specifically encouraged users to link accounts with strong follower bases or those that frequently mention InterLink, not just personal profiles. That signals the HCS will weigh social reach and activity, not just account ownership.
More importantly, Connect Social is a prerequisite for what comes next. The feature directly prepares user profiles for the upcoming Verified ITLG phase, which ties into Version 5.0.
<h2 id="span-span-strong-what-is-coming-with-version-5-0-strong-span-span">What Is Coming With Version 5.0?</h2>
The team posted on&nbsp;<a href="https://x.com/inter_link/status/2035647206758174873" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">March 22, 2026</a>, confirming that Version 5.0 is being finalized. They did not give an exact launch date but made it clear that this is not a routine update.
Based on official hints and earlier community-facing posts, V5.0 is expected to include:
<ul>
 <li>Next-level human verification and KYC processes</li>
 <li>Private mainnet launch for the InterLink Chain</li>
 <li>First tokens appearing on-chain</li>
 <li>The beginning of real token circulation, covering payments, trading, and broader ecosystem use</li>
</ul>
If those deliverables land, V5.0 is the update that transforms InterLink from a mobile mining app into an active&nbsp;<a href="https://bsc.news/post/layer-1-blockchains-ultimate-guide" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Layer-1 blockchain</a> with real utility. Right now, users mine $ITLG daily through the app, but there is no live trading and no on-chain economy. V5.0 changes that.
The team has been deliberate about the timeline. Their announcement emphasized precision over speed, noting that when something directly impacts the authenticity and long-term value of the network, it needs to be done right.
<h2 id="span-span-strong-how-does-the-ecosystem-work-strong-span-span">How Does the Ecosystem Work?</h2>
InterLink runs two tokens. $ITLG is the community token earned through mining, activity, and referrals, serving utility and governance functions. $ITL is the native payment and reserve token designed for real-world use cases such as payments, settlement, and liquidity.
The broader ecosystem includes the InterLink ID (a verified digital passport), the InterLink App (mining, mini-apps, games, chat, and QR payments), an SDK for developers, and the InterLink Chain itself.
The long-term vision is to onboard 1 billion real people on-chain, targeting the roughly 5 billion internet users worldwide. At 7 million verified users pre-mainnet, the project is still early against that target, but the growth rate suggests genuine traction.
<h2 id="span-span-strong-how-can-users-prepare-for-v5-0-strong-span-span">How Can Users Prepare for V5.0?</h2>
If you are already using InterLink, update to Version 4.0.5 and connect your social accounts. The Verified ITLG phase will rely on the data gathered through Connect Social, and users who complete this step early will likely be better positioned when V5.0 goes live.
If you are new, the app is free to download on Google Play and the App Store. You can start mining $ITLG daily by staying active.
