Popular tokenization platform Ondo Finance rolled out the Ondo Bridge for tokenized stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs) on two of the most widely used blockchain networks, Ethereum and BNB Chain, on Dec. 17.
Launched in collaboration with LayerZero, Ondo Bridge allows more than 100 stocks and ETFs tokenized by Ondo Finance to be seamlessly transferred across the two blockchains.
Tokenization is the process of deploying blockchain technology to digitally represent real-world assets (RWAs) like stocks, funds, etc., as tokens and offer fractional ownership of these assets to prospective investors.

Ondo Finance tokenizes financial instruments like stocks and ETFs, cementing its status as a dominant player in the burgeoning tokenization market.
Tokenized securities on Ondo Global Markets, already live on Ethereum and BNB Chain, have surpassed $350 million in total value locked (TVL) and $2 billion in trading volume.

Ondo Bridge replaces the previous model of isolated per-token bridges with a single framework.
All tokenized offerings can now rely on one unified bridging system to move cross-chain, with no requirement for separate bridge contracts for each asset on each network.
Built for scale, the new system streamlines operations by supporting the cross-chain movement of hundreds of tokenized assets.
Ondo Bridge can be connected to additional Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) chains within weeks.

LayerZero-integrated apps can now add Ondo assets

Over 2,600 applications, protocols, and wallets already integrated with LayerZero across Ethereum and BNB Chain can now quickly add assets tokenized by Ondo Global Markets.
Stargate has already integrated Ondo assets into its protocol.
Ondo Finance President Ian De Bode said, "Launching this Ondo Bridge with LayerZero empowers users to seamlessly transfer 100+ tokenized stocks and ETFs between Ethereum and BNB Chain, with many more chains coming soon."

"Moreover, with any wallet, protocol, or app in LayerZero’s ecosystem now able to easily integrate Ondo assets out of the box, we’re accelerating the creation of advanced cross-chain use cases and embedding Ondo tokenized stocks as foundational DeFi assets.”

LayerZero Labs co-founder and CEO Bryan Pellegrino said, “As the world shifts toward digitized stocks, ETFs, and other financial instruments, users will expect these assets to function like stablecoins — becoming instant, portable, and available everywhere. LayerZero is building the foundation for that future."
Ondo Bridge, claiming to be the largest bridge for tokenized securities, aims to embed Ondo assets as the core RWA primitive across decentralized finance (DeFi).
