Bee Network is exploring the launch of its own mobile phone, but the concept remains exploratory. On December 16, 2025, the project’s official X account, @Beenetworkintl, published a teaser image of a conceptual device called the “Bee Phone,” along with a short caption inviting users to participate in a survey.
According to the project’s only public communication to date, no formal announcement, specifications, pricing, or launch timeline have been provided, indicating that Bee Network is assessing user interest rather than confirming a product release.

The Bee Phone Concept

The teaser image shared by Bee Network depicts a stylized smartphone branded with a bee emblem and hexagonal design elements consistent with the project’s long-standing “hive” theme. The words “BEE PHONE” appear prominently on the device, suggesting a custom-branded handset rather than a standard smartphone with a Bee Network application preinstalled.

The caption accompanying the image reads: “Probably nothing. Let’s hear ur voice. a quick survey on Bee Phone.” The wording underscores the concept's tentative nature. Instead of presenting the phone as an upcoming product, Bee Network framed the post as an informal request for community input.
The post links to a Google Forms survey described as a brief, two- to three-minute questionnaire. The survey, reviewed by this publication, positions the Bee Phone as the project’s potential “first hardware product,” signaling that Bee Network may be considering an expansion beyond software into physical devices.

What the Survey Asks Users

The survey focuses on three main areas. First, it asks respondents about their current use of the Bee Network mobile app and any performance issues they experience. These include common complaints such as battery drain, overheating, lag, and app crashes, particularly on lower-end Android devices.
Second, the survey asks users which features they would want in a Bee-focused phone. Options reference tighter integration with Bee Network services, including mining functions, wallet access, decentralized exchange (DEX) tools, and in-app games. The survey also mentions potential integrations with AI tools, such as Gemini.
Third, respondents are asked whether they would consider switching from their current smartphone and what design they would prefer. This question is designed to measure demand for a single-purpose or ecosystem-optimized handset.
Taken together, the survey suggests that Bee Network is evaluating whether a hardware device could address existing technical complaints while strengthening user engagement within its ecosystem.

Potential Role Within Bee Network’s Ecosystem

Although Bee Network has not released technical details, the concept of a Bee Phone invites comparisons with other blockchain-related smartphones. Past examples include Solana’s Saga phone, which focused on native wallet support and decentralized app access, and conceptual devices like BlessPhone, which emphasize decentralization, privacy, and rewards from idle device resources.
If Bee Network were to proceed, the Bee Phone could function as a DePIN (Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Network) device. In theory, such a phone might offer optimized mining, enhanced wallet security through hardware-level protections, and smoother performance for Bee Network applications.
Another potential motivation is compatibility. Community feedback over the past several years has consistently highlighted performance problems on older or low-spec smartphones. A purpose-built device could standardize hardware requirements and reduce fragmentation across the user base.
However, these possibilities remain speculative, unlike the Perp DEX launch, which was previewed. Bee Network has not confirmed that any of these features are under active development.

How Has The Community Reacted to the News?

Community accounts such as @BeeNetworkInfo and @JarolaCrypto amplified the survey, encouraging users to participate and framing the poll as a way for “Beelievers” to influence the project’s direction.
Positive reactions focused mainly on the device’s visual design and the idea of deeper ecosystem integration. Some users praised the phone’s slim appearance and branding, while others suggested that a hardware product could provide a new use case for Bee Network’s token, particularly if purchases or rewards were involved.
At the same time, critical responses were prominent. Many replies cited long-standing frustrations with the project’s pace, particularly regarding the token generation event (TGE) and exchange listings. Comments such as “Bee KYC: 2045, Bee listing: 2050” reflect user skepticism that progress has stalled. Others dismissed the phone concept as a distraction, arguing that Bee Network should focus on delivering liquidity and mainnet functionality before pursuing new initiatives.
Some long-time miners, active since 2022, expressed disappointment with low earnings and the absence of tradable value. Comparisons to Pi Network appeared frequently, highlighting a broader sentiment that Bee Network has achieved large user growth without translating that scale into tangible outcomes.

Potential Benefits and Risks

If Bee Network were to pursue the Bee Phone, it could represent one of the project’s most visible initiatives to date. A dedicated device might improve app stability, enhance security through biometric authentication and two-factor authentication, and provide a controlled environment for web3 services.
However, launching hardware introduces new risks. Manufacturing, supply chain management, customer support, and regulatory compliance are complex and capital-intensive. Without a fully operational mainnet and token utility, a hardware product could be perceived as premature.
There is also the risk of scams and misinformation. Announcements involving hardware and rewards have historically attracted fake apps and false promises in the crypto space. Bee Network would need clear communication and strict controls to prevent misuse of its branding.

Current Status and What to Watch

For now, the Bee Phone remains a concept dependent on survey results and internal decision-making. Bee Network has emphasized that the poll is intended to gauge interest, not to announce a product. No technical roadmap, partnerships, or timelines have been disclosed.
Users interested in updates should rely on official channels, particularly @Beenetworkintl, and be cautious of unofficial claims. Until Bee Network delivers concrete information, the Bee Phone should be treated as an idea under consideration rather than an upcoming release.

Conclusion

Bee Network is considering a branded mobile phone to assess whether hardware can support its ecosystem and address user concerns. The only confirmed development so far is a community survey released alongside a conceptual image, with no indication of a confirmed launch.
Community reactions reflect both curiosity and frustration, shaped by broader concerns about timelines, token liquidity, and project execution. At this stage, the Bee Phone is best understood as an exploratory concept rather than a defined product, and its future depends on whether Bee Network can align hardware ambitions with progress on its core network.
