As December kicks off, crypto has stumbled out of the gate. The global market cap could not keep above $3 trillion and is down nearly 5% over the past 24 hours. Bitcoin, the flagship cryptocurrency, retraced back to the previous week’s levels, now trading at $85,700 and threatening to touch its daily low again. Ethereum is hovering at roughly $2,800 with a similar daily loss, and high beta plays are taking heavier hits. Major Layer-2 tokens like Arbitrum and Optimism have shed around 10% on the day as leveraged positions get flushed during the pullback. However, under the surface, activity across scaling solutions still looks healthy. L2Beat now tracks dozens of live rollups, while research shows ecosystems such as Arbitrum, Base, Starknet, and ZKsync remain key venues for trading and building, even if token prices are correcting. Presales, meanwhile, are holding up, with trackers and analysts continuing to highlight strong demand for early-stage launches. One Bitcoin-focused Layer-2 presale has pulled in more than $28.8 million even as blue chips slide. That project is Bitcoin Hyper (HYPER), a high-speed Bitcoin L2 that multiple analysts already describe as a potential 100x crypto candidate for the next cycle. This article looks at how today’s volatility affects Bitcoin and the broader Layer-2 story, to shed some light on why Bitcoin Hyper’s presale keeps attracting capital in this environment.

Layer-2 Tokens Strong Fundamentally, but Weak in Numbers: Undervalued?
In the current broad market move, Bitcoin has dropped just under 6% in 24 hours, sliding from levels near $91,000 last week to under $86,000 today, while the total crypto market value is down roughly 5% on the day. Layer-2 coins are feeling the pressure even more. Arbitrum and Optimism are each down around 10% over the same window, reflecting how quickly traders reduce risk in higher-volatility tokens when funding and leverage get stretched. Despite the red on price charts, the structural story for scaling remains intact. L2Beat lists more than twenty rollups securing user funds, and recent research on the Ethereum ecosystem points to sustained developer growth and rising activity on L2 networks, even as valuations compress from peak levels. Macro headlines may ultimately matter more than this week’s candles. On X, Bitcoin Junkies highlighted a recent statement by Scott Bessent (the U.S. Treasury Secretary), who said he’s “very confident” that the U.S. economy has a bright future for the year ahead, echoing interviews where he has ruled out a recession and expressed optimism about growth. If that upbeat outlook proves correct, risk assets like Bitcoin could benefit from renewed liquidity and stronger household balance sheets into 2026. In that scenario, investors may increasingly look for leveraged ways to play the market shift, including infrastructure that links Bitcoin’s store-of-value appeal with high-throughput rails. That is exactly the niche Bitcoin Hyper is trying to occupy as a BTC-native Layer 2.

Bitcoin Hyper Presale Aims for 100x Upside With High-Speed Bitcoin Layer-2
Bitcoin Hyper (HYPER) is promoted as the fastest Bitcoin Layer-2 chain, built to fix slow, expensive Bitcoin transactions while preserving Bitcoin-grade security. Its autonomous canonical bridge locks BTC on Layer 1, verifies deposits using an on-chain relay, and mints corresponding assets on the Hyper L2 so users can move value and interact with applications at near real-time speeds. Technology-wise, the architecture combines zero-knowledge rollups with a Solana Virtual Machine execution layer. The goal is to deliver Solana-style parallel processing and low latency while anchoring the state back to Bitcoin. This enables advanced use cases like DeFi, gaming, NFTs, and even meme coin ecosystems without altering the base chain. That narrative has turned HYPER into a favorite talking point for presale watchers. Borch Crypto’s YouTube breakdown of HYPER fits into a broader wave of analyst coverage that treats HYPER as a possible 100x crypto, largely because it attempts to combine Bitcoin’s brand with a scaling design similar to early high-flying L2 and Solana plays. Bitcoin Hyper has raised over $28.8 million so far, matching the hype with its presale metrics, with tokens currently selling at $0.013355. On top of that, investors benefit from dynamic staking yields near 40% APY, already available during the presale event. Investments continue flowing in in both small fractions and substantial allocations, including the latest BNB contribution worth $12,131 at the time of purchase. If the macro optimism for 2026 and renewed focus on scaling catalysts translate into another strong Bitcoin cycle, a fast, BTC-anchored L2 with this level of early demand shouldn’t be overlooked. At the present time, Bitcoin Hyper could potentially take advantage of the early December lull to attract more investors - and eventually produce 100x-type gains.
