What Santiment’s Development Data Really Measures

Santiment emphasizes that its rankings are not influenced by vanity metrics such as commits or forks. Instead, they rely on a refined methodology that tracks “notable GitHub events,” filtering out noise and capturing meaningful development work.

This makes the dataset a strong indicator of which projects are actively shipping updates, improving codebases, or preparing new releases, a key metric for long-term ecosystem health.

BSC Ecosystem Shows Broad-Based Strength

The latest visual data from Santiment reveals a healthy distribution of developer activity across sectors:

Cryptocurrency & Binance-native assets (BTCB, BNB)

Cloud computing (FLUX)

Privacy (ZEC)

Wallet infrastructure (TWT)

Protocol governance (BAND, ZRX)

DeFi yield optimization (BIFI)

Blockchain networking (SAITO)

This spread highlights the growing diversity of projects pushing updates within the Binance ecosystem, from core infrastructure to DeFi, privacy, and wallet tooling.
