Selecting the best crypto to buy in 2025 isn't about following promotional narratives. It's about examining genuine progress: fundraising strength, active users, technology that functions today, and clear plans for what comes next. Many projects make bold claims, but very few show results that prove they can deliver.

That's why this overview focuses on four projects that have measurable traction: BlockDAG, Hyperliquid, Bitcoin Cash, and Ethena. Each of these has something different working in its favour: technology, partnerships, volume, or strong user demand. This breakdown maintains clarity, presents the facts, and helps you understand why people are paying attention.

1. BlockDAG: Hybrid Strength and Genuine Demand

BlockDAG has constructed a compelling case for being the best crypto to buy in 2025 because it combines two advantages rarely seen together: Proof-of-Work security and a Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG) architecture for speed. The network employs Bitcoin-style PoW security but adds a multi-lane DAG design that enables parallel transaction processing.

Instead of being limited to a single chain like Bitcoin, BlockDAG (BDAG) can handle transactions simultaneously, achieving between 2,000 and 15,000 TPS. Developers are already building on the Awakening Testnet, which is EVM-compatible, so users can deploy applications using familiar Solidity tools.

The presale has surpassed $435 million, with more than 312,000 coin holders before the mainnet, and only 4.2 billion coins remaining before the presale closes. The project has also sold over 20,000 X-Series miners, providing BlockDAG with another revenue stream beyond coins. These mining rigs range from the home-friendly X10 to the high-output X100 capable of mining around 2,000 BDAG per day.

BlockDAG's transparency distinguishes it, with CEO Antony Turner publicly leading the project, and the advisory team includes Dr. Maurice Herlihy, an award-winning expert in distributed systems. BlockDAG is fully audited by CertiK and Halborn, and with Batch 32 at $0.005, the final presale batch set at $0.03, and planned listings at $0.05, anticipation is building as the coin reaches exchanges.

2. Hyperliquid: High-Volume Perpetuals and ETF Interest

Hyperliquid has been receiving substantial attention recently due to institutional movement. The project specializes in decentralized perpetual futures trading, operating as a high-performance Layer-1 designed specifically for traders. According to recent market activity, Hyperliquid's asset (HYPE) trades roughly between $44 $50, depending on exchange and time of day.

One major development is that 21Shares has filed for a Hyperliquid ETF, showing genuine institutional curiosity around the asset. The platform has already captured a meaningful share of on-chain derivatives fees, competing against centralized exchanges.

Hyperliquid's growth also appears in metrics such as trading volume and fee revenue. Recent market analysis revealed that revenue reached over $3.6 million in a 24-hour window, which indicates strong usage, not just speculation. There are risks, competition, and price resistance around $48 to $50, but the combination of futures trading demand, ETF filing news, and on-chain liquidity places Hyperliquid on lists discussing the best crypto to buy in 2025.

3. Bitcoin Cash: Established Asset With Fresh Momentum

Bitcoin Cash continues attracting traders who prefer simplicity and genuine utility. Recently, BCH advanced into the $550–$565 price range, with weekend increases of around 11%, showing strong bullish pressure. Futures data also indicates rising open interest, which usually means traders expect a directional move. Analysts have been monitoring resistance levels near $570–$600, and if BCH breaks past these levels convincingly, upside targets around $615–$651 have been mentioned.

A surprising tailwind helping Bitcoin Cash is the extension of the Mt. Gox repayment schedule into 2026. This reduces sell pressure for now and gives BCH space to grow based on market demand. While BCH does not have the marketing flash of newer platforms, it has recognition, liquidity, and utility. For those seeking less experimental assets with confirmed trading volume, BCH continues to be viewed as one of the best cryptocurrencies to buy in 2025 among established large-caps.

4. Ethena: Synthetic Yield With Substantial Backing

Ethena (ENA) sits in the rapidly expanding sector of synthetic yield and stablecoin infrastructure. Ethena's ecosystem stablecoin, USDe, uses delta-hedged strategies rather than relying on banks or physical reserves, which separates it from standard stablecoins.

Recently, Ethena-linked DEX Terminal Finance reached more than $280 million in pre-launch deposits across its vaults. In addition, a sizable $530 million private funding round was announced, bringing Ethena-related total funding to around $890 million.

ENA typically trades in the $0.42–$0.50 range, based on recent market activity. There are technical resistance levels near $0.53–$0.54, while support sits around $0.40–$0.41. Ethena is earlier in its growth phase compared to the other projects on this list. Still, with this level of funding and user deposits, it stays in discussions when evaluating the best crypto to buy in 2025.

Key Takeaways

Finding the best crypto to buy in 2025 does not need to be complicated. Look for genuine results, public leadership, working products, and strong funding. Based on those factors, BlockDAG stands out strongly, followed by Hyperliquid's rising institutional interest, Bitcoin Cash's price momentum, and Ethena's aggressive backing and ecosystem growth.

No one can guarantee results. Prices move, markets change, and new information always matters. But based on what is happening right now, these four projects have measurable traction, not just talking points. BlockDAG remains the most compelling option for people searching for the best crypto to buy in 2025.
