A single strategic acquisition has the potential to reshape how global liquidity flows — and this time, Ripple’s latest move could be the spark. Investors have grown accustomed to technical indicators and short-term swings, but the implications of corporate integrations are often what decide the long-term story.
The latest argument from X Finance Bull on X captures this possibility, claiming that Ripple’s acquisition of GTreasury marks the start of an exponential era for XRP and could drastically alter its market dynamics.

Ripple’s GTreasury Acquisition and Its Implications

Ripple’s confirmed acquisition of GTreasury, valued at approximately $1 billion, is one of the most significant corporate finance integrations in the blockchain sector to date. GTreasury is a global treasury and risk management platform that processes around $12.5 trillion in annual payments volume, servicing multinational corporations and financial institutions.
This acquisition positions Ripple within the very heart of corporate treasury management — where trillions of dollars move every year across accounts and borders. According to X Finance Bull, once these institutional clients begin settling on Ripple’s technology stack, the potential flow of value through the XRP Ledger (XRPL) could dwarf anything seen before in crypto utility.

The XRP Ledger: Functionality and Real Utility

The XRP Ledger is an open-source blockchain built for high-speed, low-cost payments. It can use XRP as a bridge asset to settle transactions instantly across currencies and jurisdictions. However, it’s important to note that while XRPL supports XRP as a native token, it can also process IOU tokens or tokenized assets without necessarily requiring XRP for every transaction.
This means that the transition from GTreasury’s massive payment volume to actual on-ledger XRP demand will depend on how deeply Ripple integrates XRP into those settlement flows. If those clients opt to use XRP directly for liquidity bridging, demand could surge dramatically. If not, the ledger’s capacity might expand without immediately affecting token supply.

The “Supply Will Vanish” Claim

X Finance Bull argues that as GTreasury clients begin settling via XRPL, XRP’s available supply will start to “vanish,” leading to exponential price movement. While transaction fees on XRPL are indeed burned — removing a small fraction of XRP from circulation each time — the effect at current network volumes is negligible.
For XRP supply to meaningfully contract, large-scale escrow lockups, institutional custody, or on-chain liquidity retention mechanisms would need to occur. Without those, the idea of vanishing supply remains speculative.

However, even moderate levels of sustained corporate settlement demand could still have a significant upward effect on XRP’s valuation due to liquidity requirements and reduced exchange float.

Can XRP Really Flip Bitcoin?

The notion that XRP could surpass Bitcoin’s market capitalization in the near future is an ambitious forecast. As of October 2025, Bitcoin remains the world’s dominant digital asset, supported by deep liquidity, institutional recognition, and a well-defined scarcity model.
However, XRP’s advantage lies in utility-driven value, not store-of-value narratives. If trillions in annual payments begin routing through XRPL, and XRP becomes indispensable to that process, a revaluation could occur over time.
Pair that with upcoming catalysts like the Clarity Act, potential XRP ETFs, and clearer U.S. regulation, and the foundation for exponential growth becomes more credible.
In conclusion, X Finance Bull’s post reflects the growing conviction among XRP advocates that Ripple’s GTreasury acquisition could mark a turning point for global payments.
While some claims, such as complete supply exhaustion or a Bitcoin flip, remain speculative, the strategic alignment of corporate finance infrastructure with blockchain settlement rails is undeniably transformative.
For now, the market is watching to see if Ripple’s new network of institutional clients will, in fact, settle on the XRP Ledger using XRP itself. Should that occur at scale, the exponential growth narrative may no longer sound theoretical — it could become a measurable reality.
