The crypto market is once again on edge as a mysterious trader known as the “Trump Insider Whale” has reportedly opened a massive $127 million short position against Bitcoin, just hours before President Trump’s much-anticipated crypto-related announcement. The move has reignited memories of last week’s market chaos when a similar trade by the same entity preceded a sharp Bitcoin selloff and erased over $670 billion in market capitalization.
As traders brace for another potential downturn, attention is now split between market uncertainty and emerging opportunities in the altcoin sector, especially in projects like Tapzi and Solana, which are showing strong long-term growth potential despite short-term volatility. These two best altcoins to buy now are currently on the verge of delivering explosive growth. Tapzi’s early-stage investors are set to receive up to 186% gains, while Solana’s ETF news has everyone on their toes.

Tapzi: A New Era of Skill-Based Web3 Gaming

As the broader crypto landscape continues to struggle with uncertainty, Tapzi is finding its own way in the fast-growing Web3 gaming industry. Tapzi, developed on the BNB Smart Chain, presents a Skill-to-Earn system that does not rely on luck of the draw. This would redefine the dynamics of blockchain gaming, offering a more sustainable substitute to the speculative and luck-based mechanics that plagued GameFi over the years.

Tapzi, in its core, has multiple games people can participate in with TAPZI tokens. Play real-time PvP matches in a game of Chess, Checkers, Rock-Paper-Scissors, and Tic Tac Toe. Should winners win, they receive their reward out of the opponent’s stakes, creating a transparent, fair, and skill-based competition. The project gets rid of bots, inflationary emissions, and printing tokens, which are three of the main issues that have damaged past GameFi projects. Moreover, Tapzi’s economy is self-sustaining. Instead of relying on treasury payouts or artificial rewards, prize pools come from player stakes. This design encourages long-term participation and genuine engagement, helping maintain token demand and ecosystem stability.
With a fixed supply of 5 billion tokens, Tapzi’s tokenomics are structured for balanced distribution and consistent value growth. Investors receive 25% of their tokens at the token generation event (TGE), with the remaining 75% vested over three months, a design that prevents sudden sell-offs and stabilizes market sentiment.
As of the time of writing, the current price of $TAPZI is $0.0035 in presale, and its price will be launched at $0.01. This pre-investment opportunity makes Tapzi an appealing entry to investors looking to get exposure to the future generation of Web3 gaming ecosystems.

Why Tapzi Stands Out in a Crowded Market

The gaming sector is projected to reach more than 400 billion dollars by 2028, and the number of active mobile gamers is more than 1.5 billion worldwide. However, the majority of Web3 gaming projects have been unable to monetize this huge base because of bad design, excessive complexity in onboarding, and unsustainable economies. Tapzi directly resolves these shortcomings in the form of a user experience that is smooth and a model that rewards actual talent.
The platform enables gas-free play, enabling users to play straight through the web or mobile without having to navigate blockchain intricacies. Even free-to-play is open to new players, and thus, non-crypto players find it easier to join. This strategy fills the void between the old gaming and blockchain technology, a space most GameFi platforms have failed to excel at.
Furthermore, Tapzi doubles as a developer launchpad, offering SDKs, staking modules, and exposure to its player base. This enables indie and Web3 developers to publish skill-based games within the Tapzi ecosystem, further expanding its content library and adoption potential. By focusing on both the Tier 1 markets, including the U.S., the U.K., and Japan, and Tier 2 gaming centers like Brazil, India, and Vietnam, Tapzi can reach a significantly broader group of users, including but not limited to crypto natives.

Trump Insider Whale Returns Before Trump’s Crypto Speech

Meanwhile, the market’s focus has shifted sharply back to Bitcoin as the “Trump Insider Whale” resurfaces with another bold move. Reports indicate that the trader expanded his Bitcoin short to $127 million, following an earlier $485 million position opened two days ago.
This individual previously gained notoriety after correctly anticipating Trump’s announcement of a 100% tariff on Chinese imports, which triggered a steep market selloff. The trader reportedly earned millions in unrealized gains from that position. His latest short comes just hours before Trump’s upcoming “big crypto announcement,” sparking speculation of a similar market reaction. Given the trader’s timing and past accuracy, many analysts believe this could be a coordinated move ahead of potentially market-moving policy news. Bitcoin remains volatile near the $104,000 level, with traders bracing for high volatility in the coming hours.

VanEck’s Solana ETF Sparks Institutional Interest

Amid the turbulence, Solana (SOL) continues to attract institutional and retail attention. Coin Bureau, a leading crypto analyst, revealed that asset manager VanEck has updated its Solana Staking ETF (VSOL) filing, introducing a 0.30% management fee, making it one of the most cost-efficient ETFs of its kind. The proposed ETF provides investors with an exposure to the price performance of Solana, as well as staking rewards, enabling them to receive passive yield as validators. This design may help facilitate faster institutional inflows upon approval, enhancing the liquidity and long-term trust in the Solana ecosystem.
Jelle, a popular technical analyst, also noted that Solana recently broke out from an 18-month consolidation range, signaling a major shift in market momentum. The token successfully retested the breakout zone and rebounded above $200, suggesting renewed bullish strength. Analysts now eye $250 as the next key resistance level, beyond which Solana could enter a fresh phase of price discovery.

However, Solana has experienced a 4.55% daily decline, currently trading around $185.91, with a market cap of $101.4 billion. Despite short-term pullbacks, analysts maintain that Solana’s fundamentals and institutional tailwinds remain intact.
