Paolo Ardoino, the CEO of Tether, has once again sounded a bullish note on hard assets—affirming that Bitcoin and gold will endure far longer than any fiat currency. His remarks reinforce a worldview increasingly common among digital-asset proponents: that scarce, non-sovereign stores of value may outlast state-issued money.
In a recent post on X, Ardoino framed Bitcoin, gold, and land as “hedges against incoming darker times,” suggesting these assets offer refuge amid macro uncertainty.
Ardoino’s perspective aligns with earlier statements about currency resilience. He has expressed skepticism about the long-term sustainability of traditional money, positioning Bitcoin and gold as more durable alternatives.
While Tether remains a dominant player in the stablecoin space, Ardoino seems to view its flagship USDT as a transitory tool—one serving as a bridge in the shift toward more permanent value stores.
As global economic tensions mount and the debate over monetary regimes intensifies, Ardoino’s bold assertion is likely to provoke strong reactions among policymakers, investors, and those staking claims in the future of money.
