The new ETP aims to increase institutional access to Solana, potentially affecting market liquidity and staking demand. However, clear on-chain impacts remain undisclosed.
Financially, the 0.20% fee is consistent with previous Bitwise products, possibly initiating a trend in fee compression for European crypto ETPs. Regulatory responses remain absent, but expert opinions suggest potential effects on the Solana ecosystem. Bitwise's launch of staking ETPs for Ethereum and Aptos earlier this year provides a precedent for this event. This pattern highlights the growth of Proof of Stake products within traditional investment environments.
Experts anticipate that the BSOL might drive greater participation in the Solana blockchain. This aligns with historical trends in crypto product adoption, indicating a growing institutional interest in digital assets.
