The surge marks a decisive shift in market momentum, as BNB extends its dominant run while XRP remains trapped in sideways consolidation.

At press time, BNB traded at $1,291.95, up nearly 6% over the last 24 hours and more than 28% in the past week. Its market capitalization has climbed to roughly $179.8 billion, narrowly surpassing XRP’s $178.3 billion. The shift underscores growing investor confidence in Binance’s ecosystem and the token’s expanding utility within decentralized finance and exchange operations.

On the technical side, BNB’s daily chart shows a strong uptrend with consistent higher highs and higher lows since late August. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) has climbed above 78, signaling overbought conditions, yet the sustained buying pressure suggests bulls remain firmly in control.

Meanwhile, XRP’s momentum has cooled. The token trades around $2.97, showing minor daily fluctuations and limited follow-through despite occasional upticks. RSI levels near 52 indicate neutrality, reflecting indecision among traders after a volatile summer rally.

The contrasting performance between the two coins highlights a broader rotation within the crypto market, as capital flows toward assets showing stronger technical setups and exchange-linked utility. With Binance Coin now reclaiming its long-held position above XRP, attention turns to whether this outperformance can continue or if profit-taking could slow BNB’s rise in the days ahead.
