What’s new: Bitcoin surged past $120,000 for the first time since August. Its futures open interest hit a record ~$32.6B, signaling strong derivatives-side momentum.
Why it matters: A break above $120K after weeks of accumulation points to bullish conviction. With macro tailwinds (rate cuts, weak dollar), the stage may be set for a stronger Q4. But such highs also attract profit-taking—watch whether support zones hold on dips.

What’s new: The European Systemic Risk Board (ESRB) warned of vulnerabilities in “multi-issuer” stablecoin models that straddle inside and outside EU jurisdictions. They call for urgent guardrails to avoid liquidity runs or regulatory arbitrage.
Why it matters: This pushes regulators to standardize stablecoin rules, closing loopholes in cross-jurisdiction issuance. Projects using hybrid models may face pressure or need redesigns. The push reinforces that stablecoins are being treated as systemic instruments now.

What’s new: At TokenWorld in Singapore, Robinhood’s CEO Vlad Tenev declared that full tokenization (stocks, bonds, other assets) is unstoppable, with all markets likely to adopt it within 5–10 years.
Why it matters: This is a signal that major platforms expect TradFi DeFi fusion. If firms follow, infrastructure for tokenized equity, debt and derivatives becomes a battleground. Projects that nail compliant tokenization rails will win.

4) TOKEN2049 Singapore draws Trump Jr., Asian crypto boom
What’s new: The TOKEN2049 conference in Singapore featured high profile speakers (Donald Trump Jr., Justin Sun), entertainment (ziplines, DJs), and pumped Asia’s crypto volume to $2.36T. Speakers predicted stablecoin market cap > $1T.
Why it matters: Shows Asia is fully back in the game. Large events with political crossover bring media, retail attention, and narrative momentum. Expect ripple effects in regional adoption, regulation, token launches, and cross-border activity.
