On October 1, 2025, Bitcoin spot ETFs saw an inflow of $675 million, marking the third day of strong institutional buying. This significant activity is attributed primarily to players like BlackRock and Fidelity.
Led by BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT), which contributed $405 million, the event witnessed key participation from Fidelity and Grayscale. Institutional compliance and demand drive these inflows, highlighting increased interest from regulated market players.

These inflows have driven the total U.S. spot Bitcoin ETF AUM to a new record of approximately $155.89 billion. This signifies the influence of institutional involvement in increasing regulated access to Bitcoin.
As a result of rising inflows, Bitcoin exchange balances have decreased, reflecting asset withdrawal by ETF administrators. In contrast, Ethereum spot ETFs recorded more modest inflows, signaling balanced investor interest.

The recent inflows echo trends from similar events in early 2025, which triggered short-term Bitcoin price increases. Long-term implications suggest potential sustained upward momentum if such inflows continue.
Historical data suggests that Bitcoin inflow periods typically lead to shifts in market sentiment and liquidity. Experts anticipate potential regulatory implications as ETFs continue to drive mainstream financial adoption of Bitcoin.
