What drives certain coins to rise faster than the rest? In 2025, a select few names are drawing major attention for their reach, tech, and user base. People are now focusing less on hype and more on projects that show live results and adoption.
This year, four stand out for very different reasons: BlockDAG, Cronos (CRO), Toncoin (TON), and Shiba Inu (SHIB). Each has found a place in the market, but the gap between their growth speed and proof of delivery is now easier to see.
Here’s a look at why these four are trending, what makes them different, and how they rank. Each section covers its price, adoption, and user reach. While meme-driven coins and ecosystem coins keep some attention, BlockDAG is proving itself across more areas. For anyone watching the crypto top gainers, this is how the leaders look in 2025.

1. BlockDAG: Millions of Users Put It Among Crypto Top Gainers

BlockDAG has quickly grown into one of the biggest names this year. Its long-term deal with the BWT Alpine F1® Team showed that it’s not just another presale trying to get noticed. The partnership rolls out across Formula 1® events, with fan simulators, hackathons, and live digital showcases already running.
That deal anchors BlockDAG (BDAG) both in crypto and in global sports. At the same time, it’s not waiting for the mainnet to prove progress. Its Awakening Testnet is live, featuring blockchain structure, mining integration, and Ethereum’s EIP-4337 design.
The numbers underline the growth. BlockDAG has raised more than $416 million, with batch 30 pricing coins at just $0.0015. Over 312,000 holders are active, with about 1,000 new wallets added each day. On the hardware side, more than 20,000 X-Series miners have already been sold across 130 countries, with mining fully active during the testnet. The mobile side is strong too, as the X1 app has over 3 million users mining daily.

This mix of live hardware, active community, and global sponsorship is why BlockDAG looks different. With millions engaged, high adoption, and a sports partnership, it stands at the top of the crypto top gainers in 2025.

2. Cronos (CRO): Brand Reach and Ecosystem

Cronos (CRO) is most widely known as the main coin for Crypto.com, one of the largest exchanges and payment platforms in the space. It keeps a steady demand through links to DeFi apps, payment options, and exchange perks. The Cronos Chain works with Ethereum and Cosmos, giving builders more tools and cross-chain access. That has helped bring in projects and users who want both ecosystems without added steps.
CRO is currently trading near $0.085. It has managed to stay more stable than many other mid-cap coins during recent months of market swings. Its main advantage remains visibility, backed by partnerships like the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles and past Formula 1® sponsorships. Even though it doesn’t match BlockDAG’s presale size, CRO still shows strength in user trust and steady integration.

3. Toncoin (TON): Built-In Telegram Edge

Toncoin (TON) stands out for having Telegram as its gateway for adoption. That gives it a huge advantage compared to most other coins. It powers The Open Network, a blockchain made for fast speed and scale, handling millions of transactions per second. The Telegram link makes wallet access and features easier, directly inside the app.

By late September 2025, TON is priced at about $6.05. The price shows strong demand as Telegram adds more mini apps, payment tools, and service tie-ins. TON is marketed as a blockchain for daily use, whether that’s micro-payments, NFTs, or moving coins across apps. It’s also becoming attractive to developers who want instant access to a large user base.

4. Shiba Inu (SHIB): Meme Coin That Holds On

Shiba Inu (SHIB) shows why meme coins still matter in 2025. First called the “Dogecoin killer,” SHIB has kept its rank as one of the biggest meme coins by market cap. It has grown past being only a meme, as its team works on products like decentralized exchanges. It also benefits from one of the most active online groups, keeping it visible even during weaker markets.
At present, SHIB trades around $0.0000122, with a market cap close to $7.2 billion and a supply of over 589 trillion coins. Analysts see two paths: a possible breakout past $0.0000139, or a sharper drop if it breaks support. Either way, it remains widely talked about.

As meme coins compete for attention, SHIB proves it still matters. Even if its growth is slower compared to newer projects like BlockDAG, SHIB continues to belong in the conversation on top crypto coins in 2025.

Which Crypto Top Gainers of 2025 Truly Lead?

The market in 2025 shows that each coin has its own path. Some rely on community, others on utility, and some balance both. Cronos keeps building trust with ecosystem tools, Toncoin gets its strength from Telegram’s network, and Shiba Inu stays popular through one of the strongest meme groups.

But the one that mixes proven tech, live use, and cultural reach is BlockDAG. With $416M+ raised, 312K+ holders, 20K miners, and a Formula 1® partnership, it’s already proving its growth. For those watching the crypto top gainers, BlockDAG stands out not just as an early-stage but as active right now.
