Peter Schiff insists that gold will surpass Bitcoin and Ethereum by 2025 due to its stability and performance during economic turmoil.
Schiff's prediction underscores potential market shifts, impacting crypto investments as traders weigh gold's consistency against crypto's volatility. Peter Schiff, CEO of Euro Pacific Asset Management, has reiterated his long-standing belief that gold and precious metals will outperform Bitcoin and Ethereum by 2025. Gold's historical stability is highlighted as a primary reason. Schiff frequently contrasts gold's fundamental value with Bitcoin's high volatility.

He predicts that when economic stresses unfold, investors will prefer gold to cryptocurrencies, which are perceived as speculative assets by many. Schiff's views reflect in the immediate market effects, including increased investor interest in gold ETFs and mining stocks. In 2025, gold mining stocks have achieved double-digit gains, reflecting a rising pivot toward stable assets amid fluctuating crypto markets. Financial implications involve significant ETF flows. Recently, Bitcoin ETFs experienced $131 million in net outflows, suggesting a shift in institutional focus. Gold's stable performance reassures investors against macro-economic uncertainties.
Meanwhile, Ethereum observed an inflow of $2.1 billion into ETFs, yet Schiff maintains that gold offers more long-term security.

Validator exits on Ethereum suggest profit-taking as a response to recent rallies.

Bitcoin is nearly 7x more volatile than gold on an annualized basis. When geopolitical shocks hit, investors flee to gold first. — Peter Schiff, CEO, Euro Pacific Asset Management

The impact of shifts in ETF flows highlights a potential trend where institutional and retail investors hedge risks with gold. Historically, crises have seen gold outperform crypto, reaffirming its flight-to-safety status during market disturbances. Read original article on coinwy.com
