Cryptocurrency funds experienced robust growth last week, driven notably by U.S. spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs). They marked four consecutive weeks of positive inflows, accumulating a total of $3.9 billion, signaling sustained investor confidence. 
According to CoinShares data, exchange-traded products (ETPs) drew in $1.9 billion, with Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) leading the gains with $977 million and $772 million respectively. Other notable tokens such as Solana (SOL) and XRP also secured significant inflows. 
This growth elevated global crypto ETP assets under management (AUM) to an all-time high of $40.4 billion year-to-date. Bitcoin ETFs continue to perform strongly, registering $2.4 billion in inflows last week alone, amplifying a four-week total inflow of $3.9 billion. 
Conversely, short-Bitcoin ETPs faced challenges, experiencing $3.5 billion in outflows and dropping to a multi-year low in total AUM. 
In a separate development, Crypto.com has officially denied allegations that it concealed a 2023 user data breach. The exchange responded to reports attributing the breach to phishing attacks by a hacking group, emphasizing that the incident was promptly reported and contained, affecting only a minimal number of individuals with no funds compromised. 
The global stablecoin landscape is witnessing intensified competition, highlighted by the launch of the first regulated stablecoin pegged to the Chinese yuan (CNH). Financial tech firm AnchorX introduced its AxCNH stablecoin at the Belt and Road Summit in Hong Kong, designed exclusively for international transactions, distinct from China’s domestic currency usage. 
Additionally, digital asset infrastructure company BDACS unveiled a Korean won-backed stablecoin named KRW1, reinforcing the growing trend of sovereign digital currency initiatives. 
These strategic moves are part of a broader ambition by China to challenge the dominance of the US dollar in digital currency and to solidify its influence over global trade routes.
