The OTHERS/ETH weekly chart shows record oversold RSI levels, surpassing conditions seen during 2018, 2020, 2022, and tariff war downturns.

Market rotation follows a historical sequence: Bitcoin gains first, then Ethereum, before liquidity flows into altcoins across large, mid, and small caps.

Altcoins demonstrated explosive 10x–50x gains in 2017 and 2021, with current oversold compression suggesting similar broad market rallies in Q4 2025.

Altcoins are currently showing record oversold levels not witnessed in any previous downturns, positioning the market for a potential large-scale recovery.

According to market analyst Ash Crypto , the OTHERS/ETH weekly chart shows relative strength index levels at historic lows. These oversold conditions surpass those recorded during the 2018 bear market, the COVID-19 crash, the 2022 lows, and the tariff war panic.

The extreme RSI reading suggests altcoins are not just undervalued but also compressed, setting up a spring-like market effect. Such conditions often precede strong rebounds, as price action seeks balance after prolonged suppression.

This historic technical setup signals that altcoins may soon transition from stagnation to renewed activity, driven by long-term cyclical patterns in cryptocurrency markets.

Rotation of Market Liquidity

Ash Crypto noted that liquidity typically rotates in phases, moving first into Bitcoin, then Ethereum, and finally altcoins. He suggested that the current market is in the Ethereum stage, where altcoins are lagging but preparing for rotation.

This lag phase often serves as a precursor to the next growth wave. Historically, after capital flows into Ethereum, it later disperses into large-cap altcoins, then mid-cap, and eventually small-cap tokens.

Market observers believe that this cycle could unfold in the coming months, with September to early October marking a potential bottom for altcoins before liquidity shifts.

Potential for a Historic Altseason

Past data from 2017 and 2021 shows that altcoins have the ability to deliver gains between 10x and 50x within short timeframes. The current market setup appears to echo those periods, but with stronger oversold conditions now in place.

Ash Crypto projected that if the fractal pattern holds, Q4 2025 could trigger the largest parabolic run in altcoin history. This view is based on the combination of extreme technical compression and the cyclical rotation of liquidity.

Such a setup positions altcoins for an environment where broad-based rallies could spread across the market spectrum, with large, mid, and small-cap assets all benefiting from renewed capital inflows.
