San Francisco-based blockchain company Ripple Labs has released an additional 500 million XRP from escrow after withdrawing a larger amount earlier.<img src="https://academy-public.coinmarketcap.com/optimized-uploads/60e11c45e2dc4ce3b1146f100bbaa901.png">Popular blockchain sleuth Whale Alert, which tracks large cryptocurrency transfers and shares the details on social media platform X, reported that Ripple unleashed another significant amount of XRP from escrow. On August 1-2, the company made a traditional funds withdrawal from escrow, releasing a massive 1 billion XRP coins. Earlier, the company had released 1 billion XRP, worth approximately $563.2 million. Over the past seven years, Ripple has been making monthly XRP releases from escrow to support the coin’s liquidity on the <a href="https://cryptosheadlines.com/binances-institutional-clients-stay-positive-on-crypto-amid-tough-market/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">market and provide XRP to its institutional clients</a> for payment solutions.According to a recent report published by Ripple, the company still holds a substantial 4.682 billion XRP in its cold crypto wallets.<h3 id="additional-xrp-transfers-detected-by-whale-alert">Additional XRP Transfers Detected by Whale Alert</h3>Apart from the 500 million XRP transferred by Ripple, Whale Alert spotted several smaller transfers over the past 24 hours. There were four transactions, each carrying between 20-25 million XRP.In three transactions, a total of 71.2 million XRP was moved. This included one transfer of 23 million XRP and two transfers of 24 million XRP each, all withdrawn from Binance, the world’s largest crypto exchange.
