The global digital asset market dropped by another 3% over the last 24 hours as the biggest cryptos like Ethereum (ETH) and Solana (SOL) dropped by around 5%. However, meme coins have bled the most in the ongoing downturn. Crypto market declines 
The crypto market printed red indexes on Thursdays with Bitcoin (BTC) dipping to the $67,000 price level. Specifically, the <a href="https://news.todayq.com/are-meme-crypto-waiting-for-gamestop-to-boom/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">meme crypto</a> market dropped by a big 6% over the last day to stand at $54.75 billion. Its 24 hour trading volume declined by 4% to stand at $6.7 billion.
The fifth biggest crypto, Solana price dropped by 12% in the last 7 days. SOL is trading at an average price of $151.23, at the press time.
dogwifhat (WIF), the meme crypto which has been on a massive rise, dropped by 11% in the last 24 hours. However, WIF is riding on declining waves as its price dropped by 25% over the last 7 days. WIF is trading at an average price of $2.52, at the press time. Its 24 hour trading volume is down by 11% to stand at $446 million.
PEPE dropped by another 8% in the last 24 hours. PEPE price is up by 131% over the last 60 days. PEPE is trading at an average price of $0.00001251, at the press time. Other doge themed meme cryptos like FLOKI and BONK dropped by more than 10% in the same period. Wassup with the market? 
European stocks opened lower, mirroring declines in Asian markets, after the US Federal Reserve indicated only one rate cut in 2024, less than the three previously anticipated by markets. The US dollar strengthened against major currencies following the announcement. Despite a cooling of inflation in the US, it remains above Fed Chairman Jerome Powell’s target comfort level.
The Federal Reserve held interest rates steady at 5.25% to 5.5%, but revised its forecast to just one rate cut next year. Fed officials noted “modest further progress” toward the 2% inflation target, a more positive outlook than their previous assessment. Powell emphasized the need for more evidence before cutting rates, citing the restrictive monetary policy’s desired impact on inflation but noting it was too soon to confirm its sufficiency.
