<p>The cryptocurrency market is showing encouraging signs of recovery after a prolonged downturn. Bitcoin, the largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, is leading the charge and appears to be on track to return to the $70,000 milestone not seen since November 2021.</p>
<p>Bitcoin's price has surged over 15% in the last week, crossing the $60,000 threshold for the first time in 2023. Many analysts attribute the rally to increased institutional investment from firms like BlackRock as well as a declining US dollar. If Bitcoin can sustain this momentum, breaching $70,000 could be just the start as it aims to take out its all-time high above $80,000.</p>

<p>While Bitcoin is stealing the spotlight, several other major cryptocurrencies are posting even larger gains. Among the top 10 cryptocurrencies, Solana (SOL) and Avalanche (AVAX) have had the best price performance over the last 24 hours, rising 8% and 7% respectively.</p>
<p>Solana, the blockchain platform designed for scalable decentralized apps, has been buoyed by a number of major partnerships and ecosystem investments. Avalanche, the rapidly growing smart contracts platform, continues to gain traction as an alternative to Ethereum with lower fees and faster transactions.</p>
<p>The overall cryptocurrency market cap has now recovered to over $1.8 trillion after dipping below $1 trillion just a few months ago. While skeptics remain, this rally suggests that institutional and retail investors are still very much interested in the space despite the recent turmoil. Many are watching closely to see if this is just a dead cat bounce or the start of a new bull cycle.</p>
