Core has introduced a pioneering wallet creation method, offering users the ability to generate wallets and multi-chain seed phrases using their Gmail accounts, without compromising on security or custody aspects.
This innovation allows Core users to bypass traditional seed phrases, utilizing familiar Web2 methods like Gmail and Apple logins for key generation and management.

This first-of-its-kind wallet experience, designed for the Avalanche ecosystem and beyond, features universal seed abstraction. It's not confined to specific blockchains or Virtual Machines (VMs). Users can employ Core-generated seeds across various blockchains, from Bitcoin to Ethereum Virtual Machines (EVMs), streamlining the process without the hassles of multiple contracts or cross-chain complications.
Core's Seed Abstraction stands out for its ease of cross-chain usage, contrasting with ERC-4337 (account abstraction), which limits users to EVM chains and has deployment-based restrictions. Core's solution allows users to transact across multiple environments, including Bitcoin, Avalanche C, X, P-Chains, and any EVM, with enhanced confidence and security.
At the heart of Core's system lies Cubist's CubeSigner non-custodial signing service. This service enables secure social logins and manages keys within secure hardware. Core remotely generates keys and signs transactions from within CubeSigner's secure hardware, ensuring private keys remain private. When transactions are signed, advanced encryption methods and a secure enclave are employed to safeguard raw private keys.
Access to a Core account requires both login details and a physical authentication device, significantly reducing risks like phishing and unauthorized access. CubeSigner's protocol for exporting keys incorporates additional steps and waiting periods, offering protection against threats like SIM swapping and ensuring only legitimate owners can export their keys.
Akash Gupta, Head of Consumer Products at Ava Labs, highlighted that Core unifies key Web3 tenets by offering simple, frictionless, and seedless onboarding while maintaining self-custody and high security. Core's users can choose their preferred sign-up, login, and recovery methods without fear or apprehension.
Core’s Seed Abstraction addresses common issues like lost seed phrases and wallets, eliminating such risks and simplifying the Web3 wallet experience without compromising security. This solution is an integral step towards making blockchain products more user-friendly, aligning them with the intuitive nature of Web2 products. Core's approach resolves a significant challenge for everyday users – managing seed phrases – and makes the wallet experience more intuitive.
Core also accommodates users who prefer traditional methods. Those wishing to continue using seed phrases can do so, with existing wallet creation options remaining available. Users inclined towards a seedless approach need to create new Core wallets to enjoy the associated benefits.

Ava Labs, the company behind Avalanche, has recently introduced several significant updates and new features to their Core platform. One of the major developments is the launch of Core Mobile, the mobile version of the Core crypto wallet, which initially released on Android with plans for an iOS version in 2023. This mobile wallet enhances user experience by offering features like swapping Avalanche assets, buying AVAX with debit or credit cards, tracking real-time asset price movements, and connecting to DeFi dApps, NFT marketplaces, and games on Avalanche.
Another noteworthy advancement is the release of Core Web, an all-in-one command center that provides a comprehensive and intuitive way to interact with Web3 across the Avalanche network. This platform allows users to view and manage their token assets and NFT collectibles, as well as engage with various dApps and explore blockchain data. Core Web is optimized for seamless integration with both Avalanche and Ethereum networks, enabling users to bridge, swap, and buy assets, as well as manage NFTs and digital assets across multiple networks.
In addition to these, Ava Labs has also introduced AvaGPT, an AI assistant integrated into the Core platform. AvaGPT, developed in collaboration with Kapa AI, is designed to enhance user experience by providing real-time support and access to in-depth information. It is trained on Core’s knowledge base, Avax documentations, and developer docs, aiming to assist users in navigating the Avax protocol more efficiently.
These innovations from Ava Labs highlight the company's focus on improving user experience and accessibility in the blockchain and cryptocurrency space. They demonstrate Ava Labs' commitment to pushing the boundaries of technology and ensuring users have the tools they need to navigate the evolving digital landscape.
