The ETC Grants DAO (EGD) has awarded its premier funding round to 19 projects. Aimed at boosting the <a href="https://ultramining.com/ratings/ethereum-classic/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Ethereum Classic</a> (ETC) ecosystem, EGD has allocated nearly $700,000. <a href="https://ultramining.com/hardware/?manufacturer=Bitmain&amp;algorithm=&amp;power_from=233&amp;power_to=4400" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">BITMAIN</a>, ANTPOOL, and ETC core developers jointly fund the program. 
Throughout the first half of 2023, EGD conducted several online and offline activities. It included monthly sharing and meetups that gathered ideas on ecosystem development. These events, attracting over 1500 online viewers and numerous offline participants, put EGD on the radar of developers and users. 
The application period, spanning 89 days from January 31, 2023, saw participation from 66 projects. A neutral and objective Funding Review Committee evaluated all applications over a 75-day period. After multiple rounds of scoring and voting, they selected 19 projects for funding. 
These projects, spanning categories like tools/developer platforms, community/media, DeFi, NFT, DAO, and games, will receive ETC funding from $3,800 to $50,000. The total funding value, amounting to $691,800, will be stored in ETC in a multi-signature wallet. 
EGD will gradually unveil the list of winning projects on Twitter Space. The group is committed to revitalizing the Ethereum Classic ecosystem and promoting its market value.
