Table of Contents

THORWallet is a self-custodial crypto wallet that enables native swaps between assets on different blockchains without requiring a centralized exchange. It initially supported native BTC-to-ETH swaps and later added routes including XRP (XRP) to BTC (BTC).

Since 2021, users have swapped more than $2.5 billion through the app, which supports more than 20,000 tokens and a broad range of native cross-chain routes.

THORWallet has also won the Startup World Cup, been named to the Top 10 Fintech Switzerland list, participated in the CoinMarketCap Incubator and Cointelegraph Accelerator, and earned a 4.7-star App Store rating from more than 3,000 reviews.

The Last Mile Stayed Broken

For five years, crypto had a broken final step. Users could hold assets in self-custody and swap them across chains without an intermediary. But at checkout, they often had to transfer funds to a centralized provider, give up custody, and accept the risk of account restrictions. The industry built self-custody for saving, then quietly surrendered it when it came time to spend.

Many crypto cards have required the same trade-off: convenience in exchange for custody. That is not self-custodial crypto with extra steps. It is banking with extra steps.

The THORWallet Card is designed to remove that detour.

From Wallet to Checkout

The THORWallet Card is live, closing the loop between self-custodial swaps and everyday spending.

Users can take a supported asset on a major chain, including Bitcoin, Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL) and thousands of others, and swap it natively to USDC (USDC) inside their wallet. No bridge. No wrapped token. No centralized exchange. No intermediary that can block or freeze the trade. They can then top up the card with a 0% top-up fee and tap it wherever Mastercard is accepted.

BTC on Sunday night can become coffee on Monday morning. Until card top-up, the funds remain in the user’s self-custody.

Two Tiers, No Subscriptions

Basic is built for getting started. It is free with an invite code or costs a one-time $5 without one. The tier includes a virtual Mastercard, a $125,000 monthly limit, 0% top-up fees, 24/7 chat support, and Apple Pay and Google Pay support from day one. THORWallet says users can go from download to first tap in about five minutes.
Premium launches shortly for more active users. It costs a one-time $99 with an invite code or $124 without one, with no subscription. The tier adds a physical card, 0.5% USDC cashback on eligible spending, priority support, and monthly limits that can be increased on request, subject to verification.

Pricing is upfront and one-time, with no monthly fee eating into the balance or premium plan renewing in the background.

An Upgraded Card Experience

Existing cardholders can continue using their current cards, which remain active and unchanged. THORWallet has rebuilt the program around three upgrades:

  • Lower costs: A revised pricing structure reduces costs for users.
  • Expanded reach: Availability has grown to 172 countries.
  • Faster, more flexible KYC: The updated process supports additional forms of identification beyond passports. Approval times remain subject to verification.

Available in 172 Countries

The THORWallet Card is available in 172 countries, including the United States. Once issued, it can be used wherever Mastercard is accepted, subject to eligibility and regional restrictions.

That reach is deliberate. Crypto users are not concentrated in one or two wealthy markets. They include freelancers invoicing across borders, digital nomads moving between time zones, and users in regions established providers have overlooked.

The app travels too. THORWallet is available in multiple languages, and the full country list is available on its website.

How THORWallet Compares on Reach, Price and Custody

According to THORWallet’s August 2026 benchmark, RedotPay had the broadest reach among competing crypto cards, with availability in more than 130 countries. The THORWallet Card launches in 172, including the United States, where several major competitors have limited or no availability. THORWallet says the card also compares favorably across several product features:

More countries. Lower prices. Cashback included. And one key difference from custodial cards: funds remain in the user’s own wallet until the card is topped up.

(Competitor figures and comparisons are based on publicly available information as of August 2026.)

Putting Crypto to Use

For five years, THORWallet has worked to ensure no intermediary stands between users and the assets in their wallets. The card extends that approach to the checkout counter: swap natively, hold in self-custody until top-up, and spend wherever Mastercard is accepted.

Crypto was not built to remain a number on a screen. The THORWallet Card is designed to turn it into something users can spend.

THORWallet says eligible users with an invite code can obtain a free Basic card and complete setup in about five minutes. More information is available at thorwallet.org.
