It depends on the complexity of your question and the model you select. Our Core model consumes 1 to 10 credits per question. Our Pro model consumes 1 to 50 credits per question. For example, a “Hello CMC AI” message on our Core or Pro model will consume less credits than a “Why is the market up today?” question.

Complexity is tied to the amount of data CMC AI gathered to answer your question and the amount of reasoning effort required to provide your answer. For example, analysing 1 cryptocurrency typically requires less data and reasoning effort than analysing a basket of cryptocurrencies.

The number of credits is not determined solely by the length of the answer. Background processes like data analysis and reasoning consumes credits.

If you are a free user, your cycle starts on the first day of your usage and credits reset the same day next month. If you are a paid user, your cycle starts the first day you paid for your subscription and credits reset upon successful payment the same day the next month.

Unused credits expire at the end of each cycle for both free and paid tiers.
