Social media posts claim a new <a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/crypto-blogs-details/what-is-decentralized-exchange-will-replace-centralized-exchanges" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">decentralized exchange</a> climbed to second place among trading venues on a major layer-2 network in under two weeks.&nbsp;
The launch itself is real and well documented. The ranking is harder to confirm.&nbsp;
This report explains what the team has officially published, what its public dashboard shows, and why the Aero Arbitrum volume claim should be treated carefully until more data is available.&nbsp;

<h3 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-launch-facts-what-the-team-confirmed-span-span">Launch Facts: What the Team Confirmed</h3>
According to the <a href="https://aero.xyz/articles/aero-launches-today/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">official detail</a>, the unified exchange went live on October 21, 2026, merging two well-known layer-2 exchanges, Aerodrome and Velodrome. It is built on a spot exchange design called MetaDEX03.&nbsp;

<h3 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-why-the-late-addition-matters-to-the-network-span-span">Why the Late Addition Matters to the Network</h3>
This network joined late. The<a href="https://aero.xyz/articles/aero-launch-update-all-systems-go/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">September 25 launch update</a> added it, together with Robinhood Chain, to the final list of seven launch networks.&nbsp;
The team described the chain as bringing one of the deepest <a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/defi-tokens-crypto-market-recovery" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">DeFi ecosystems</a> in Ethereum and said all seven receive a full deployment.&nbsp;
According to the same update:
<ul>
 <li style="margin-left: 0px; list-style-type: disc">Rewards stream across every network, directed by sAERO holders</li>
 <li style="margin-left: 0px; list-style-type: disc">Traders can swap across supported chains in a single transaction</li>
 <li style="margin-left: 0px; list-style-type: disc">Issuers can <a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/crypto-blogs-details/what-are-liquidity-pools-and-how-they-work-in-defi" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">deploy liquidity</a> to one pool and unlock exposure across the ecosystem</li>
</ul>
The same update says the chains previously served cover about 17% of <a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/crypto-blogs-details/evm-compatibility-guide-crypto-builders" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">EVM spot trading</a>, and that this launch is set to roughly triple that reach.&nbsp;
Because the deployment is new, its effect on trading activity will take time to appear in public data.
<h3 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-what-the-official-dashboard-actually-shows-span-span">What the Official Dashboard Actually Shows</h3>
The exchange publishes a<a href="https://aero.xyz/economics/metrics/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">protocol metrics page</a> that draws on verified on-chain data.&nbsp;
When reviewed, its latest day was October 27, and figures refresh frequently, so numbers may already differ.

Anyone searching for an official Aero <a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/crypto-blogs-details/best-layer-2-blockchain-2026-tvl-growth" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Arbitrum volume</a> number will not find one here.&nbsp;
The dashboard reports protocol-wide totals and lists lifetime revenue by network, but it does not publish a separate trading figure for that chain.&nbsp;
The $13K revenue reading suggests the deployment is at an early stage compared with Base, where the predecessor built its history.
<h3 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-how-the-model-could-attract-flow-and-what-to-watch-span-span">How the Model Could Attract Flow, and What to Watch</h3>
The team says the exchange pays liquidity providers more when demand rises.&nbsp;
Its launch article explains that rewards are calculated in dollars and that pool caps can rise as activity grows.&nbsp;
It also describes dynamic fees and a system called Predictive Allocation.&nbsp;
Things worth watching:
<ul>
 <li style="margin-left: 0px; list-style-type: disc">Whether official metrics begin showing network-level breakdowns for trading activity</li>
 <li style="margin-left: 0px; list-style-type: disc">How the share of liquidity on the chain changes after the first weeks</li>
 <li style="margin-left: 0px; list-style-type: disc">Whether independent trackers converge on similar numbers</li>
 <li style="margin-left: 0px; list-style-type: disc">How many pools attract incentives and deeper liquidity</li>
</ul>
Early data from a new launch can swing widely, and incentives can lift activity temporarily. Nothing here is investment advice.
<h3 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-conclusion-span-span">Conclusion</h3>
The exchange’s debut on the chain is confirmed, and the official materials show a clear strategy for attracting flow across seven networks.&nbsp;
The headline ranking is another matter. Until the team or neutral trackers publish consistent figures, Aero Arbitrum volume remains an open question rather than a settled fact, and readers should rely on official dashboards and repeated checks.
