Binance has initiated the second phase of its withdrawal recovery process but still has not restored withdrawals for Hyperliquid’s HYPE token, leaving holders unable to access their assets for eight consecutive days. The exchange published its ninth recovery update, noting that additional cryptocurrencies would become available for withdrawal beginning at 04:00 UTC across nine prominent blockchain networks, including BNB Smart Chain, Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon, Avalanche, Tron, and Sui.

Ongoing withdrawal limitations

While dozens of tokens experienced the restoration of withdrawal services, Hyperliquid’s HYPE token, currently ranking as the 11th-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, was notably excluded from Binance’s latest list. This omission quickly drew attention from market participants and prompted frustration among HYPE holders, especially since there have been no reports that the asset was lost or compromised during the recent security event at Binance.

On-chain investigator MLM (@mlmabc) commented on X that every asset was being restored “except HYPE (none of which was lost),” escalating concerns about the reason for the continued restrictions. Members of the Hyperliquid community have raised questions about the asset’s status and urged the exchange for clearer communication.

Binance’s response and security protocols

Binance has addressed the situation, emphasizing that withdrawals are being re-enabled in stages as each asset undergoes a series of security and readiness checks. The exchange stated that heightened withdrawal demand in recent weeks has required more time and technical resources to ensure a secure reopening for each token.

According to Binance’s announcement, every asset must complete security and readiness assessments before withdrawals resume, and timelines may vary based on technical details and user demand.

Despite users’ frustrations over the lengthy wait, Binance has yet to provide an expected timeline for when HYPE withdrawals will be available again. The exchange did clarify that deposits for HYPE and other assets remain fully functional, and that some already re-enabled withdrawals might experience brief delays due to increased volume or additional security checks.

Market impact and user sentiment

With a current market capitalization of $18.6 billion, Hyperliquid stands out among top crypto projects, and analysts generally expect its market activity to remain resilient, in part due to the presence of major market makers and diversified liquidity sources outside Binance. Even as withdrawal delays persist, significant disruptions to market performance have not been observed.

Nevertheless, the continued inaccessibility of HYPE withdrawals has led to growing impatience within the community. Social media platforms have seen an uptick in user comments expressing concern, with one noting, “It’s over once they do that’s why they haven’t,” in reference to speculation about when the restriction will be lifted.

For investors closely following HYPE’s trading availability and the ongoing withdrawal situation at Binance, real-time alerts on withdrawal status and token movements provide an edge. CryptoAppsy’s customizable smart alerts and instant news updates allow users to track when changes for specific tokens like HYPE occur, helping them react quickly as Binance reopens more asset withdrawals.
