Crypto ETF news today tells a rough story. Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana ETFs all bled money on November 5, and the sell-off spread straight into coin prices. XRP, meanwhile, sat completely still for a third day in a row. What pushed buyers out the door so fast, and where does crypto go from here?
Key Takeaways

Bitcoin ETFs lost $430.20 million on November 5, their biggest single-day outflow of the month, while BTC fell 6.0% to $75,360.83.

Ethereum ETFs shed $99.97 million as ETH dropped 8.1% to $2,222.28, while XRP ETFs logged zero net flow for a third straight day.

Solana ETFs posted their first outflow of November at $1.18 million, even as SOL slipped 6.6% to $89.35.

Why Did Crypto ETF Outflows Hit BTC, ETH, SOL Today?

According to The Kobeissi Letter post on X, the Nasdaq 100 posted its largest daily drop since the 2020 pandemic, and the S&P 500 erased $3 trillion in value on November 5. That selling came right after a sharp reversal.
Just 24 hours earlier, the Dow had jumped over 1,600 points when Democrats swept the US midterm elections. The mood flipped fast, and crypto ETF news today shows that shift hit digital assets just as hard.
Data from CoinGecko puts the global crypto market cap at $2.64 trillion, down 5.2% in 24 hours. Daily trading volume across the sector stands at $105 billion. Bitcoin dominance holds at 57.5%, while Ethereum dominance sits at 10.3%.

crypto ETF news today starts with Bitcoin, where outflows hit $430.20 million on November 5, per SoSoValue data, the biggest single-day outflow this month. The exit was led by:

BlackRock: $104.97 million

Fidelity: $199.87 million

Grayscale: $49.90 million

Smaller funds added to the total. Cumulative net inflow into Bitcoin ETFs still stands at $56.11 billion, and total net assets sit at $96.65 billion, equal to 6.31% of Bitcoin’s valuation. Value traded on the day reached $3.88 billion.

Arkham Intelligence flagged fresh selling pressure too. Bitcoin miner MARA Holdings moved 1,650 BTC, worth $132.8 million, to Galaxy Digital, Copper and other platforms over the past 12 hours. Big miner transfers like this tend to rattle short-term holders, and today was no different.

Ethereum ETFs lost $99.97 million on November 5, the second highest outflow this month, behind only Bitcoin. The outflow was led by:

Grayscale: $539.62 thousand

Fidelity: $2.24 million

Cumulative net inflow into Ethereum ETFs stands at $12.02 billion, with total net assets at $13.04 billion, or 4.74% of Ethereum’s valuation. Value traded on the day hit $1.13 billion.

XRP price today sits at $1.20, down 8.3%, with a $76.05 billion valuation and $2.375 billion in 24-hour volume.
XRP ETFs recorded zero net flow again on November 5, the third straight day without a single dollar moving in or out, SoSoValue data shows. Cumulative net inflow holds at $1.81 billion, total net assets sit at $1.41 billion (1.80% of XRP’s valuation), and $22.30 million in value traded hands on the day.

Not everything about XRP stayed quiet. The XRP Ledger’s official account on X said that since version 3.3.0, the network has cut memory use on nodes by up to 23%, based on a two-part deep dive from RippleX core engineer Cyber_V71. A technical upgrade like this won’t move price overnight, but it’s the kind of groundwork that can rebuild confidence once ETF flows start moving again.

Solana ETF Outflow: First Red Day Of The Month

Solana ETFs posted their first outflow of November on November 5, pulling out $1.18 million. Grayscale accounted for $815.14 thousand of that, and Invesco for $360.94 thousand.

Cumulative net inflow into Solana ETFs remains at $1.47 billion, with total net assets at $1.33 billion, or 2.51% of Solana’s valuation. Value traded on the day came in at $57.29 million.
Solana price today is $89.35, down 6.6%, with a $52.74 billion valuation and $4.571 billion in 24-hour volume.
There was a bright spot too. Samsung has built a stablecoin feature directly into Samsung Wallet. Eligible Galaxy users in the US can now hold USDC from Circle on the Solana network, across roughly 82 million compatible devices, a move that could support Solana’s recovery once the selling eases.

What Next For Crypto ETF Flows?

So what next for crypto ETF flows? Bitcoin, Ether and Solana all logged outflows on the same day the Nasdaq and S&P 500 took their worst hit since the pandemic, which lines up with the Kobeissi Letter’s reading of the sell-off spilling from stocks into digital assets. XRP’s three-day flow freeze suggests investors are waiting rather than heading for the exit.
Large holder moves, like MARA’s 1,650 BTC transfer and the Tornado Cash deposit flagged by Lookonchain, add short-term pressure on top of the bigger macro picture. Whether flows turn positive again likely depends on how stocks trade next, and whether crypto ETF news today turn out to be a one-day shakeout or the start of something longer.
Expert Opinion: Market analysts note that today’s outflows across Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana ETFs line up closely with the equity sell-off described in the Kobeissi Letter post, suggesting institutions treated crypto as a risk asset to trim alongside stocks rather than a separate safe haven. XRP’s unmoving ETF flows, paired with ongoing technical upgrades to the XRP Ledger, point to a holding pattern rather than panic.
The on-chain activity from MARA Holdings and the Tornado Cash deposit add near-term caution, though neither event changes the longer-term inflow totals each ETF has built since launch.
