Crypto analyst Dark Defender has laid out a detailed technical case for XRP. In a recent post on X, he identified a critical trigger level that could send the asset into its most powerful Elliott Wave phase yet.
XRP peaked at $1.68 after the rally in late August. It then entered a corrective sequence, and that correction has followed a classic ABC pattern across the daily chart.
Wave A marked the initial drop, Wave B produced a sharp but short-lived recovery, and Wave C/5 brought price down to the current range near $1.31. Dark Defender’s analysis suggests this corrective phase is approaching its end.
The structure bottomed around $0.9852 earlier in the cycle. From that low, XRP built the corrective sequence that has since compressed price into a key support zone. Dark Defender stated “XRP is ready.”

RSI is Go; Ichimoku is pending. Above $1.56, XRP will move fast for Grand Wave 3.

$1.56 is the Line

Dark Defender identifies $1.56 as the trigger. Above that level, he expects Grand Wave 3 to begin. In Elliott Wave theory, Wave 3 is typically the strongest and longest wave in an impulse sequence. A confirmed break above $1.56 would signal that the corrective phase is complete and that the next major move is active.
Fibonacci levels on the chart define the upside targets clearly. The first primary resistance sits at $1.8815, which corresponds to the 161.8% extension. The second major target is $2.9032, the 200% extension. Intermediate resistance levels at $1.5692, $1.4445, and $1.3798 would be tested on the way up.

RSI and Ichimoku Give a Split Reading

Dark Defender describes the RSI as “Go.” At 40.44, the indicator sits just above oversold territory, and has enough room for a massive XRP rally without becoming overbought. The Ichimoku cloud tells a different story for now. The analyst describes it as “pending,” as XRP has not yet cleared the cloud to fully align the indicator with the bullish setup.

Support Levels Define the Risk Zone

Dark Defender identifies $1.2939 and $1.2133 as the key areas to hold. These correspond to the 50% and 38.2% Fibonacci retracement levels respectively. The current price of approximately $1.31 sits just above those supports, keeping XRP within the zone required for the setup to remain valid.

Targets in Focus

The full projection calls for a move to $1.8815 as the first major level, followed by a move to $2.9032 if momentum sustains. Both targets are contingent on a clean break and hold above $1.56. Until that level clears, the setup remains a pending signal waiting for confirmation.
