On Nov. 4, Blast took down its Ethereum layer-2 network and set up a recovery website for users with remaining funds.
Claims remain open for one year, through Nov. 4, 2027.

ETH or USD that is left in a Blast wallet, a pending withdrawal or Blast Mobile can be recovered on the site, the team said in a post on X. “This recovery website will be active for 12 months,” Blast said, designating Nov. 4, 2027 as the final support date.

Users search for an address that held ETH, wrapped ETH or USDB on Blast. It also works if there is a wallet approved to claim for that address, like the owner of a Safe or another smart wallet.
On the Ethereum mainnet, claims are paid directly from recovery smart contracts.
Blast Mobile addresses do not exist on Ethereum, so those users claim with the seed phrase of the app. They import it into a wallet like MetaMask or Rabby, then connect that wallet, which displays a different address than Blast Mobile did.
“Only ever type your seed phrase into your wallet app, never into a website,” the recovery page warns.
As of Nov. 3, Blast’s canonical bridge on Ethereum had ~$6.51 million according to DeFiLlama. The bridge had ~$41.04 million on Oct. 26, so ~84% has left since.
The bridge value sank to ~$6.59 million on Oct. 31 from ~$36.63 million on Oct. 30.
The figure is what is left in the bridge, not what users have recovered.

On Oct. 2, Blast announced the wind-down. “The economics of operating the chain no longer make sense,” the team wrote, noting that the cost to maintain Blast outstripped the revenue generated by the L2.
Blast first removed its assets from Lido, a process it expected to take about one week, and froze withdrawals in the meantime.
The team trimmed the withdrawal delay to 24 hours and specified Oct. 26 as the final day to withdraw through the usual Blast interface. Assets could still be withdrawn via the Blast bridge contracts on Ethereum after that date.
The Oct. 2 post said Blast was launched with the goal of creating a self-sustaining chain for users and developers. It did not see a credible way to make the chain economically workable.
DeFi-focused blockchain Katana said on Oct. 26 it had taken a snapshot of Blast users and wallet activity. It also promised more boosts for wallets active on Katana and reiterated the snapshot claim on Nov. 4.
According to Cryptopolitan, Arbitrum One saw its most active day since July 18, 2024, on Oct. 28, with 1,087,999 daily active addresses.
Polygon PoS led the way of all tracked chains on the day with 1,634,452 active addresses. Base came second with 1,457,258, followed by Arbitrum in third place.
