A crypto user with the X handle @OscarRamos60 recently grabbed attention across the XRP community with a bogus claim.
He argued that 1 XRP will reach $73,000 and settle in a range of $50,000 to $70,000, driven by what he described as seasonal patterns in global commerce.
Time Traveler, a prominent figure in the community, has <a href="https://timestabloid.com/xrp-army-reacts-as-time-traveler-reiterates-73000-xrp-price-prediction/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">repeatedly set the $73,000 target for XRP</a>. He compared XRP’s utility to that of the SWIFT network, suggesting the token generates more activity during the Christmas period. He added that the irony is that people previously told XRP holders to stop talking about the token.

It will most likely correct and remain at about 50k to 70k based on seasons in the world. Like SWIFT, they make more money during Christmas obviously. The irony is that people wanted us to shut up about Xrp <a href="https://t.co/9Z5nE0Zd39" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">pic.twitter.com/9Z5nE0Zd39</a>

<h2 id="strong-the-xrp-army-reacts-strong">The XRP Army Reacts</h2>
The post attracted a wave of responses. Most were dismissive. One commenter <a href="https://x.com/bski1221/status/2116724345171062946" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">called</a> the claim outright false. Another <a href="https://x.com/XRPRaYY/status/2116719701501874587" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">told</a> Ramos to be quiet and called him a moron. One went further, <a href="https://x.com/bbliss17/status/2116714581808603621" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">calling</a> the prediction impossible and offering no other elaboration.
Perhaps the sharpest critique came from a commenter who dismissed the post as fabricated content, <a href="https://x.com/Zeus_arcor/status/2116665712978612728" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">noting</a> that Ramos routinely publishes misleading information online. Another respondent <a href="https://x.com/HurterReti59098/status/2116787789799027160" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">accused</a> Ramos of trying to generate artificial hype through dishonest claims.
<h2 id="strong-can-xrp-go-to-73-000-strong">Can XRP Go to $73,000?</h2>
The timing of Ramos’s post is notable. <a href="https://timestabloid.com/the-one-single-statement-that-excites-xrp-army-at-ripple-swell-2026/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Ripple’s flagship Swell 2026 conference</a>, held October 27 to 29 in New York City, just wrapped up. It was Ripple’s largest event yet, combining Swell with the XRPL Apex developer conference for the first time. Speakers included representatives from BlackRock and the IMF.
The event covered tokenization, stablecoins, and institutional settlement on the XRP Ledger. By any measure, it was a significant gathering. XRP entered Swell 2026 trading at around $1.30, down 12.5% in October and nearly 50% over the prior year. The price did not respond in the way many holders had hoped.
Historical data shows <a href="https://timestabloid.com/heres-how-xrp-price-performed-after-every-ripple-swell/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">XRP fell during six of the nine Swell events</a>. That pattern held again in 2026, with XRP now trading at $1.25.
<h2 id="strong-the-gap-between-narrative-and-price-strong">The Gap Between Narrative and Price</h2>
The XRP community’s frustration is real. A conference featuring the world’s most recognized financial institutions produced no sustained price movement. Posts predicting five-figure prices circulate while the token trades below $2.
While multiple well-respected figures <a href="https://timestabloid.com/time-traveler-charts-xrp-price-path-to-73000-if-ripple-can-play-this-role/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">share the $73,000 target</a>, it is not grounded in reality for most people. The disconnect between the institutional story Ripple tells and what the market delivers remains large. Whether that gap closes, or widens further, is the question XRP holders continue to sit with.
