Worldcoin (WLD) is trading at $0.364466 on October 30, 2026, a decline of 16.77% over the prior 24 hours. The move represents one of the steepest single-session drops for WLD in recent months, erasing gains accumulated across the preceding trading days.

WLD Price Today: Scale and Timing of the Move

Spot volume over the 24-hour window reached $51.2 million, elevated relative to quieter sessions but insufficient to signal sustained accumulation. A 16.77% decline on moderate volume points to thin bid-side liquidity rather than a high-conviction institutional exit. The orderbook bid/ask ratio sits at 0.81, a balanced-to-slightly-soft reading that places it below the 1.0 parity line. Ratios below 0.70 signal outright sell pressure; at 0.81, bids are present but not defending price with conviction. Funding rates on perpetual contracts are currently 0.0043%, a near-neutral reading that rules out a short-squeeze or a long-liquidation cascade as the primary mechanical driver. The absence of extreme funding removes one common catalyst for violent intraday moves, suggesting the sell-off originated in spot markets rather than leveraged derivatives. Broader liquidation context across the market is visible on CoinGlass's liquidation tracker.
The World Foundation has previously used OTC channels to manage WLD supply, with a prior $65 million OTC sale coinciding with WLD touching an all-time low. Today's move warrants monitoring for similar supply-side activity, though no confirmed transaction data is available at time of writing.

What Is Driving Worldcoin's Decline?

WLD has faced a persistent lack of leadership-driven catalysts that has weighed on sentiment across multiple sessions. Without a positive protocol update or ecosystem announcement to absorb sell pressure, token-specific downside flows tend to compound.
Broader altcoin weakness is a contributing variable. On days when Bitcoin retraces, mid-to-low cap tokens with lower liquidity depth tend to absorb amplified percentage moves. The correlation is not causal, but the absence of a WLD-specific positive catalyst means macro risk-off pressure flows through unimpeded. Macro conditions around Federal Reserve rate decisions have previously shaped broad crypto risk appetite including WLD.
WLD is structurally exposed to token-unlock risk given its vesting schedule for early backers and foundation allocations. While no specific unlock event has been confirmed for this date in the available data, the token's persistent discount to prior highs reflects the market's pricing of ongoing dilution risk. Similar mechanics have weighed on other infrastructure tokens facing unlock pressure.
The bid/ask ratio of 0.81 indicates market makers are not aggressively defending current levels. In a liquid order book, a ratio near 1.0 reflects balanced two-sided interest; at 0.81, the ask side carries slightly more weight, meaning passive sell orders are outpacing passive buy orders at the current price range.

Key WLD Levels and Signals to Watch

At $0.364466, WLD is trading in a range that requires on-chain flow confirmation before a directional bias can be established. Traders should monitor net CEX flow: sustained net deposits to exchanges (coins moving onto platforms) would indicate continued distribution pressure. Net withdrawals would suggest accumulation or reduced selling intent.
The neutral funding rate at 0.0043% means the derivatives market is not pricing a directional move with conviction. A shift above 0.01% would indicate longs are re-entering and willing to pay a premium; a drop below 0% would signal shorts are gaining dominance and could precede further spot weakness.
Volume at $51.2 million is the key threshold. If spot volume contracts below $20 million while price stabilizes, that pattern is consistent with a selling exhaustion setup. If volume remains elevated alongside continued price weakness, distribution is still active.
The $0.35 level represents a near-term structural reference: a close below it on above-average volume would extend the drawdown toward the $0.28-0.30 range, which aligns with prior consolidation zones. Recovery above $0.42 on a volume expansion would be the first sign of demand absorbing the current supply. This analysis is not financial advice; WLD remains a high-volatility asset subject to sharp reversals in either direction.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is Worldcoin (WLD) price down today? WLD has declined 16.77% in the past 24 hours to $0.364466. The drop reflects soft bid-side liquidity (orderbook ratio 0.81), neutral derivatives positioning (funding rate 0.0043%), and a lack of token-specific positive catalysts to offset broader altcoin selling pressure.
Is the WLD sell-off driven by leverage liquidations? No. Funding rates at 0.0043% are near-neutral, and the absence of extreme open interest positioning means leveraged liquidation cascades are not the primary driver. The move appears spot-led.
