<a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/solana-news-primerevenue-keeper-akash-update" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Solana News</a> on October 29, 2026, centers on custody, staking security, and institutional access. Google, Solflare, Jupiter, and BitGo each shared an update within about a day.
This report covers each item using the official posts. It also includes a short market snapshot for SOL.
<h2 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-alphabet-moves-its-own-assets-onto-google-mpc-span-span">Alphabet Moves Its Own Assets Onto Google MPC</h2>
On October 28, the official network account said Alphabet is securing its own digital assets on the chain. Google unveiled Google Multi-Party Compute, an institutional custody system. It is now in private preview with major financial institutions.
Commercial launch is planned for early 2027. That detail matters for <a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/solana-news-etf-outflow-equity-holders" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Solana News readers</a> tracking institutional adoption.
Multi-party compute, or MPC, splits a private key into separate shares. Several parties must approve each transaction, so no single holder controls the full key. Google Cloud describes this model in <a href="https://cloud.google.com/blog/products/identity-security/how-confidential-space-and-mpc-can-help-secure-digital-assets" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">its public documentation</a>.
A single private key is a single point of failure. MPC replaces it with distributed key shares, which spreads the risk across several parties.

<h2 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-solflare-reports-a-staking-provider-security-incident-span-span">Solflare Reports a Staking Provider Security Incident</h2>
Solflare said on October 28 that its staking provider <a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/solflare-security-incident-validator-rewards-paused" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">reported a security incident</a>. The issue affected keys the provider holds for the Solflare validator. Rewards stopped while the provider investigates.

Delegated stake sits in each user’s own stake account, controlled by that user’s keys. The protocol does not let a validator, or anyone holding its keys, move that stake.
A later post said the new validator is live. Users can unstake from the legacy validator and restake, or wait for an app update. The team plans to cover missed rewards and will share the exact period soon. It also warned that it will never DM users or send a link.

<h2 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-jupiter-and-bitgo-open-institutional-staking-access-span-span">Jupiter and BitGo Open Institutional Staking Access</h2>
Jupiter and BitGo announced a validator built for institutions on October 28. BitGo clients can <a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/crypto-blogs-details/how-to-stake-solana-2026-yield-and-risks-explained" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">stake SOL</a> with Jupiter directly from existing custody accounts, without moving assets elsewhere.
According to BitGo, rewards vary with network conditions and operator performance. Jupiter runs the node on its own, so BitGo does not control its results. This is the third Solana News item that ties custody to staking.

<h2 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-sol-price-and-market-data-on-october-29-span-span">SOL Price and Market Data on October 29</h2>
CoinMarketCap data <a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/solana-price-prediction-network-activity-vs-sol-price" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">shows SOL</a> ranked seventh by market capitalization. Trading volume rose while the price slipped, which points to active trading during a mild pullback.

Fully diluted valuation means the value if every token were in circulation. About 93% of total supply is already circulating, so the gap between market cap and that figure is small.
