Sui Network has introduced XAUa, a Hong Kong-regulated tokenized gold asset, to its blockchain ecosystem, extending its lineup of real-world assets even as its native cryptocurrency SUI faces continued downward pressure.

Sui Expands Real-World Asset Offerings With XAUa

The newly launched XAUa token is issued by AlphaTokenHQ and distributed through TBook, utilizing Sui’s Permissioned Asset Standard (PAS) for compliance. XAUa’s regulation under Hong Kong jurisdiction aims to broaden Sui’s appeal to institutions seeking compliant onchain assets, while also showing how blockchain platforms can host regulated, tokenized versions of traditional assets like gold.

Sui Network, known for its Layer 1 blockchain, has positioned itself as a hub for asset tokenization, enabling permissioned and regulated financial products to operate within its decentralized environment. By adhering to regulatory standards, Sui seeks to attract interest from institutional players and fintech projects exploring compliant digital asset offerings. However, the project’s latest announcement does not directly confirm increased demand or new capital inflows for SUI tokens themselves.

SUI Price Struggles Below Key Technical Levels

Despite the introduction of XAUa, SUI’s price continues to reflect considerable selling pressure. As of the latest trading session, SUI was quoted at $0.9254, reflecting a 0.86% decrease over the past 24 hours. The token remains below its 50-day moving average of $0.9916, indicating that short-term sentiment remains weak. The 200-day moving average, currently at $0.8660, acts as a potential support level if the price continues its decline.

Technical analysis shows that the Relative Strength Index (RSI) measures 39.78, falling under its average but still above the oversold threshold. SUI’s price has failed to sustain its earlier September rally, which pushed it above $1.20 and close to $1.30 by early October. Following this peak, the token has retreated beneath the $1.00 psychological level.

Resistance is identified at $1.0119, while support is noted at $0.7849. A move above $1.0119 could indicate an improving outlook, while a loss of support at $0.7849 may expose SUI to further declines.

The launch of regulated gold tokens highlights Sui’s ambitions in real-world asset tokenization, yet current technical and volume trends suggest that SUI’s price remains under significant pressure until buyers reclaim critical resistance levels.

Trading Volume and Market Outlook

CoinGlass data indicates that SUI experienced a surge in trading volume during its September rally. However, volume has generally tapered off in October, with a brief increase around October 24. While the data show volatile conditions, it does not specify whether recent activity has been dominated by buyers or sellers.

Liquidation charts display notable long and short liquidation events during periods of sharp price swings, particularly in late September and early October. Specific data about current liquidations, open interest, or funding rates were not available, making it harder to gauge present derivatives sentiment.

Market observers note that a shift above the 50-day moving average and sustained price action over $1.0119 could boost the recovery narrative for SUI. On the downside, a break below $0.8660 and especially $0.7849 would likely signal deeper risk. The project’s tokenized gold launch is viewed as a positive milestone, but SUI’s short-term market prospects depend on renewed buying interest and external catalysts.

Traders are reminded that cryptocurrency prices are volatile and subject to rapid change. It is recommended to closely track price movements, technical indicators, and upcoming project developments before taking investment decisions.
