The strongest-supported overnight items are a wallet integration and a perpetuals launch, not the exchange-leak or chip-supply stories carrying more apparent weight.

The Best-Supported Stories Are the Quiet Ones

Two items overnight carry four publisher feeds apiece, which puts them ahead of everything else published in this window on sourcing alone. Phantom's addition of Kalshi-powered prediction markets for US users was carried across four feeds, with Cointelegraph, Crypto Daily, Crypto Economy and Cryptopolitan all running versions of it. The launch of round-the-clock regulated crypto perpetuals for US traders, a joint venture between OG.com and Crypto.com offering leverage up to 5x, was also carried across four feeds, named as Bitcoin.com News, Crypto Daily, CryptoNewsZ and Cryptopolitan. Neither story is dramatic. But four feeds each is the highest count in this batch, and that matters more than how loud either headline reads, because it is the measure this edition is built to respect.

Read together, the two stories describe the same structural trend from different ends: wallets are absorbing exchange-like functions, and exchanges are absorbing wallet-like always-on access. Phantom turning a wallet into a venue for event contracts and Crypto.com turning a perpetuals desk into a 24-hour US product are not competing claims, they are the same institutional push appearing twice in one night. Most global perpetuals volume still flows through offshore platforms outside US regulatory reach, which is the detail that gives the OG.com launch its actual stakes, rather than the leverage figure.

The Fed Story Has Fewer Feeds Than It Deserves Attention For

Bitcoin returned to the $81,000 level after the Federal Reserve held interest rates steady, and roughly 14,942 BTC moved off exchanges in the hours beforehand. That story was carried across three feeds, by Bitcoin.com News, Crypto Daily and crypto.news, which is solid but a step below the two four-feed items above it. The piece itself flags upcoming inflation data as the next risk, which is the right caveat: a rate hold is a macro event, not a crypto-demand event, and the exchange outflow figure describes positioning, not conviction. That combination, three feeds and a macro-dependent catalyst, is why this is the item to hold onto for the night rather than treat as settled.

The Exchange Leak Reports Do Not Agree on Scope

Coinbase, Bithumb and the South Korean brokers Daishin and Mirae Asset have reportedly been hit by data leaks, but the two outlets covering it do not agree on how many firms were affected. Protos and crypto.news both ran the story, which is two independent publishers, yet one names all four firms and the other focuses only on Coinbase and Bithumb. That is not a contradiction that corroboration can resolve by itself, since the overlap confirms Coinbase and Bithumb but leaves the Korean brokers' involvement effectively single-sourced within this coverage. Unconfirmed is not the same as false here, but a reader should treat the broader four-firm version as the thinner claim until a third outlet lands on either the narrow or the wide version.

A Chip Story From Outside Crypto Sits in the Same Feed

OpenAI is reportedly in talks to buy AI chips from Google, a move that would diversify its hardware supply away from Nvidia. The claim rests on separate reports from Decrypt and The Cryptonomist, two independent publishers, which is the same two-publisher floor as the exchange-leak story above. It has nothing to do with token markets directly, but its presence in this feed is a reminder that overnight crypto-adjacent coverage increasingly tracks the infrastructure fights of the broader AI buildout. Nothing in the reporting establishes terms, timing or volume, only that talks are said to be underway.

Of the five overnight items, two cleared four publisher feeds and three sat at two or three, and the Fed-linked bitcoin move is the one worth carrying into the next session precisely because its three-feed support is solid while its macro dependency is not resolved by that support.
