The move folds regulated event contracts into a crypto wallet, underscoring a shift toward all-in-one finance apps.

Phantom, one of the most widely used crypto wallets, has added prediction markets powered by Kalshi for its US-based users. The feature lets users trade event contracts on Kalshi's regulated platform without leaving the Phantom app. Reports from Crypto Daily, Cointelegraph, Cryptopolitan, and Crypto Economy all confirmed the rollout on October 28.

Kalshi operates as a federally regulated exchange for event contracts in the United States. Its markets let traders take positions on outcomes ranging from economic data to political events. By embedding Kalshi's offering directly into its wallet, Phantom gives users a new way to speculate on real-world outcomes alongside their existing crypto holdings.

The integration is limited to users located in the United States. Cryptopolitan's coverage noted that the rollout comes as regulatory approaches to prediction markets diverge across jurisdictions. Some regions treat event contracts as a form of regulated derivatives trading. Others classify similar products closer to gambling, creating a patchwork of rules that platforms must navigate carefully.

For Phantom, the addition fits a broader strategy of expanding beyond simple token storage and swaps. Wallets across the industry have been adding features like staking, lending, and now prediction markets. The goal is to keep users inside a single app rather than sending them to separate platforms for different financial activities.

This approach mirrors a trend already visible among other major wallet providers and decentralized finance platforms. As competition for user attention intensifies, wallets are positioning themselves as comprehensive financial hubs. Adding a regulated product like Kalshi's event contracts allows Phantom to offer exposure to prediction markets without building its own trading infrastructure from scratch.

The partnership also signals growing interest from traditional, regulated financial products in distributing through crypto-native channels. Kalshi has expanded its reach through various partnerships in recent months. Pairing with a wallet that has a large existing user base gives Kalshi additional distribution without having to build consumer-facing software itself.

Market Impact

The integration could expand Kalshi's user base by exposing its event contracts to Phantom's existing crypto audience. For Phantom, the feature adds a new revenue and engagement avenue beyond typical wallet functions like swaps and staking. It also reinforces the industry-wide push toward multi-function wallets that aim to capture more user activity within a single app.

The US-only restriction highlights ongoing regulatory uncertainty around prediction markets globally. Divergent rules across jurisdictions may limit how quickly similar integrations can expand internationally. Other wallet providers may watch this rollout closely before deciding whether to pursue similar partnerships with regulated prediction market operators.

Phantom's addition of Kalshi's prediction markets illustrates how crypto wallets are evolving into broader financial platforms. Whether this model expands beyond the US will likely depend on how prediction market regulation develops in other regions.
