Several leading altcoins, including XRP, Hyperliquid, and Ethena (ENA), have shown renewed strength ahead of the Federal Reserve’s Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) policy announcement. Traders closely monitored key support and resistance areas, anticipating heightened volatility as macroeconomic uncertainty weighs on risk assets.

XRP, a digital asset developed by Ripple for fast, low-cost international payments, has rebounded and is now trading around $1.33. On the daily price chart, Ali Martinez, a veteran cryptocurrency chart analyst, noted that XRP is shaping a potential inverse head-and-shoulders pattern. The right shoulder appears to be forming at the $1.25 support region.

Holding the $1.25 level would maintain the bullish formation, potentially targeting the neckline near $1.55. A daily close above this neckline may indicate a breakout toward $2.10. Conversely, if XRP fails to sustain above $1.25, traders could shift focus to the next lower support area at $0.98.

XRP’s formation of an inverse head-and-shoulders near $1.25 suggests that holding this support zone is critical for a push higher, with a close above $1.55 possibly unlocking further gains.

Hyperliquid, a decentralized derivatives exchange protocol, found support near $74, aligning with a rising trendline active since late January. Previous rebounds from this trendline spurred rallies of 87% in late January and 72% in early August 2026.

If Hyperliquid can sustain above $74, it may target the next resistance near $110. However, a breakdown below this trendline could expose further downside toward $67 or $60.

Ethena (ENA), a synthetic dollar project utilizing Ethereum-based infrastructure, has gained approximately 18% over recent days. ENA is currently testing the upper edge of a descending channel. A four-hour candle close above $0.22 could signal a breakout, opening the path to $0.24 or $0.27. Failure to clear $0.22 could result in a retracement to the mid-channel region around $0.18.

The outcome of the Federal Reserve’s rate meeting will likely serve as a catalyst for near-term price action in XRP, Hyperliquid, and ENA. Analysts stressed that technical patterns may only hold if prevailing support and resistance zones withstand any larger macro-driven moves triggered by the FOMC announcement.

Until the Federal Reserve’s policy and forward guidance becomes available, traders remain cautious. The direction set by the US central bank is expected to define upcoming volatility and reassessments of key trading setups.
