Rise

Everything

A post from XRP enthusiast Pete (@peteskeetpete) is drawing reactions across the community. He wrote, “After everything goes DARK. XRP will rise to $1000. Get Ready.”
The post references <a href="https://timestabloid.com/once-the-reset-happens-heres-how-much-xrp-you-need-to-become-richer/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">a financial reset scenario</a>, a theory circulating in XRP circles for years, suggesting a systemic global event will precede a major price move for the asset.
<h2 id="strong-what-pete-is-claiming-strong">What Pete is Claiming</h2>
The “going DARK” language alludes to a collapse or disruption of legacy financial infrastructure. Pete elaborated in the replies. When one commenter <a href="https://x.com/robinandbe5411/status/2114831448322785691" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">noted</a> that systems would all <a href="https://timestabloid.com/did-japan-just-flip-the-switch-for-xrp-heres-the-latest/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">have to switch the flip on XRP</a> simultaneously, Pete <a href="https://x.com/peteskeetpete/status/2114843765835756016" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">agreed</a>.
The suggestion is that XRP would emerge as a settlement asset on the other side of that disruption of the global financial system. Many who believe this theory point to XRP’s design as a bridge asset, and they expect it to power the emerging financial system.

Reactions were divided. Several supporters agreed, with one <a href="https://x.com/cavallivapore33/status/2114798108278399124" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">saying</a> everything was “for sure going dark”. Another <a href="https://x.com/Chiara_831/status/2114843530627838217" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">said</a> the community was already deep enough in the darkness. One commenter <a href="https://x.com/UnifiedLove7/status/2114811249846583482" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">suggested</a> XRP could reach 4 to 6 digits, placing Pete’s $1,000 target at the low end.
Skeptics pushed back with force. One commenter flatly <a href="https://x.com/rotisserierick/status/2114844508634685873" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">said</a> it would not happen, prompting Pete to <a href="https://x.com/peteskeetpete/status/2114844978618736899" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">tell</a> him to quit trying to be slick. Rick followed up by <a href="https://x.com/rotisserierick/status/2114855266617622590" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">calling</a> Pete a “brainwashed dumbass.”
Others <a href="https://x.com/heaven7731/status/2114940150748975159" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">called</a> it a scam, and another <a href="https://x.com/bob87688678/status/2114921690870485112" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">compared</a> him to Jake Claver who many have lost faith in because of his failed predictions. One commenter <a href="https://x.com/Peter2293912898/status/2114988104297726378" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">put</a> a realistic near-term price at $3 or $4. Another <a href="https://x.com/The__Anomaly3k/status/2114995917321642398" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">said</a> he believed in XRP but was not holding his breath on a timeline.
<h2 id="strong-the-1-000-target-has-serious-backing-strong">The $1,000 Target Has Serious Backing</h2>
Despite the community pushback, the $1,000 price target is not unique to Pete. Dom Kwok, co-founder of EasyA and a former Goldman Sachs analyst, has repeatedly <a href="https://timestabloid.com/dom-kwok-presents-simple-math-for-xrp-at-1000-price/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">predicted XRP will reach $1,000 by 2030</a>. He has maintained that position through multiple market conditions throughout 2026.
In September 2026, Kwok posted that <a href="https://timestabloid.com/xrp-army-reacts-as-dom-kwok-says-1000-is-more-likely-than-ever/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">“$1,000 is more likely than ever,”</a> a statement that reached hundreds of thousands of views within hours. The foundational argument for the target rests on XRP’s role in cross-border payments.
Kwok has previously argued that crypto valuations are driven by network utility and liquidity demand, not conventional financial metrics. Whether the market reaches that level by 2030 remains an open question.
