The Arbitrum network is seeing rapid growth in stablecoin activity, with the Paxos-issued Global Dollar (USDG) supply increasing fivefold in recent weeks. Major decentralized finance (DeFi) platforms Morpho and GMX have reported notable increases in their USDG balances, underlining a significant expansion in stablecoin liquidity across Arbitrum’s ecosystem.

Stablecoin liquidity expands across DeFi

Eco, a company tracking digital asset markets, shared data showing that USDG holdings on Morpho jumped from zero to $42.6 million, while GMX, a decentralized trading protocol, saw its USDG balance climb from zero to $13.7 million. These developments point to rising adoption of USDG on Arbitrum.

This surge in stablecoin supply is enhancing liquidity for lending, trading, and financial activities in the network’s DeFi sector. Both Morpho and GMX are key players in the ecosystem, providing users with decentralized lending and leveraged trading options, respectively.

While the influx of USDG points to deeper integration of the stablecoin into Arbitrum’s DeFi infrastructure, further data is needed to assess whether this growth marks a lasting trend.

ARB price forms triangle, key levels watched

Despite the uptick in stablecoin activity, ARB, the native token of Arbitrum, is consolidating after a prolonged downtrend. ARB is trading near $0.1667, with its price forming a tightening triangle pattern. Analysts report that both buyers and sellers are converging in a narrower range, raising speculation about an imminent breakout or further breakdown.

Immediate support is at the $0.1660 mark. If ARB falls below this level, the decline could extend toward $0.1550. Conversely, resistance zones between $0.1700 and $0.1730 are the first major hurdles for any upward move, with a potential rally to $0.1800 possible if these levels are surpassed.

Market sentiment remains broadly bearish, with analysts emphasizing that any upward movement may represent only a temporary pause in the ongoing downtrend rather than a sustained recovery.

Crypto With Gopal, a market analyst, highlighted that ARB is consolidating tightly around $0.1667. If buying pressure drives the price above the $0.1700–$0.1730 resistance, a recovery to $0.1800 could follow. However, failure to hold $0.1660 could see further declines to $0.1550.

Outlook: Stablecoin use, price confirmation key for future

Continued stablecoin adoption, along with confirmation through trading volumes, will be critical in shaping Arbitrum’s outlook. The ecosystem’s growth is evident through the increased USDG balances held by Morpho and GMX, but the impact on ARB’s price remains uncertain until further technical confirmation emerges.

While stablecoin activity supports network usability, a rebound in ARB’s price will depend on breaking key resistance levels and the confirmation of a sustained trend reversal.

Overall, both traders and developers are focused on whether stablecoin liquidity will drive broader adoption and if ARB can establish a clear trend beyond its current consolidation range.
