XRP has come under renewed selling pressure as significant token inflows reach major exchanges and technical indicators remain weak. The token is trading in a narrow range between $1.26 and $1.32 following an early-week breakdown that has seen bullish momentum evaporate despite steady growth in wallets and ongoing spot ETF activity.

Heavy Exchange Inflows Spark Concern

Recent on-chain data indicate that 6.05 billion XRP have been transferred to exchanges over the past 30 days, marking the highest inflow in seven months. Binance logged a substantial share of these deposits while the number of whale wallets holding large amounts of XRP dropped sharply, suggesting some large holders may be exiting positions.

Tokens entering exchanges often hint at potential selling, though do not always translate into immediate market pressure. Still, this movement has coincided with liquidations of long XRP positions as leveraged traders were forced out during rapid downside swings. XRP briefly declined below $1.29 in the latest sell-off before a muted recovery took hold.

Liquidations for XRP have varied in daily notional value, sometimes reaching several million dollars and spiking on volatile days. The broader crypto market has also witnessed hundreds of millions of dollars in positions wiped out during risk-off episodes.

Technical Barriers and Analyst Perspectives

XRP’s RSI and MACD both remain subdued, leading traders to view the $1.30 zone as a potential pivot rather than steady support. Should XRP break cleanly below $1.26, further leveraged liquidations may occur if sellers maintain momentum.

Technical analyst ChartNerdTA pointed out a daily 20/50 EMA death cross that formed on October 19, referencing historical patterns where such signals preceded declines of about 30 percent. In a recent commentary, ChartNerdTA noted if a similar move unfolds this cycle, XRP could retest or fall beneath the $1.00 mark, but emphasized this context as historical rather than a direct forecast.

ChartNerdTA observed that after rejecting key moving averages, XRP could face downside toward or below $1.00 if the current technical structure persists, while acknowledging that this outlook is informed by past events and not intended as a crash prediction.

Other analysts have identified a major cluster of leveraged positions near $0.97 that could be triggered if downward momentum accelerates. Despite short-term pessimism, ChartNerdTA maintains a longer-term bullish view, with aspirational targets in the $5 to $8 range over several years, if trend structure and liquidity improve.

ETF Flows and Long-Term Outlook

Institutional interest has also played a role in recent XRP dynamics. U.S. spot XRP ETFs have accumulated nearly $1.8 billion in total net inflows since their November 2025 debut, with current net assets roughly $1.5 billion. Daily flows have slowed, remaining modest or only slightly positive following earlier outflows in October.

On-chain monitoring shows the XRP Ledger continues to set new highs for active wallet numbers, reflecting ongoing user growth even as sentiment in the spot market stays fragile. Yet XRP’s price remains well below its July 2025 peak of about $3.65 and the January 2026 high around $2.41, adding to its vulnerability in volatile conditions.

As traders closely watch whether the lower boundary near $1.28 to $1.29 holds and observe possible shifts in exchange inflows, technical patterns and order book clusters remain highly relevant. Insights from analyst communities emphasize the importance of monitoring key support levels and the pace at which leverage clears.

Just as in trending altcoin markets, timing and smart positioning are key. In the meme token space, a single internet-driven trend can rapidly attract millions in new capital. Data from Fomo App highlights one trade in “Niu Lai” that transformed a $99 starting position into roughly $370,000 in days, underscoring the critical impact of tracking both investor activity and token selection. Fomo App merges token discovery with social feeds, investor rankings, and real-time trade notifications, offering users a streamlined way to navigate this volatile sector.

Until leverage is flushed out and price stabilizes, institutional buying alone may not be enough to counteract current downward pressure. Market participants are focused on whether key support will be maintained and whether exchange inflows will subside, as any further weakness could prompt accelerated liquidations at lower price levels.
