A post says DOGE is touching its long-term support trendline for the third time, a setup it links to big rallies in 2017 and 2020. Will that lift DOGE again? Not on its own. Price has already dropped out of a rising channel, and longs took most of the day's liquidations.
This Dogecoin price prediction checks the claim against the liquidation data and the 4-hour chart.

Why is DOGE price down today?

The dogecoin price today is down 3.43% to $0.07732 in 24h, underperforming a broadly weaker crypto market, primarily driven by a macro risk-off sentiment that is pressuring high-beta assets like meme coins.
Primary reason: Broader crypto market sell-off on higher oil prices, institutional outflows from ETFs.
Secondary Reasons: Dogecoin is a meme coin and that makes it a high-beta asset that is going to magnify the downside when risk aversion hits. Technical conditions have turned oversold and that makes it worse.

What are people saying about $DOGE?

Dogecoin's community is cautiously optimistic, balancing technical hope against fading social buzz.
Here’s what’s trending: Analysts see a bullish setup if DOGE holds a critical resistance zone near $0.10.
On-chain data reveals a severe collapse in social engagement and network activity.
A new speed upgrade (DogecoinVM) failed to lift the price, highlighting a sentiment–fundamentals gap.
Speculative hype is building around an unverified DOGE-1 satellite mission and recent ETF inflows.

A liquidation happens when an exchange force-closes a leveraged trade because the trader can no longer cover losses. Longs bet on a rise, and shorts bet on a fall. Coinglass shows:

Longs took about 95% of the $3.77M liquidated over 24 hours and about 98% of the 12-hour total. Longs lose when price falls, so this fits the drop out of the channel.
Coinglass futures volume leads with Binance at $329.08M, OKX at $178.48M, Gate at $126.31M and MEXC at $72.78M. The screenshot gives no time window.

A rising channel is a pair of upward-sloping trend lines that hold price in a range. $DOGE bounced inside one from October 18 to 21, then broke the trendline price, which is falling continuously after breaking down the trendline.
The latest candle opened at $0.07781, ranged from $0.07688 to $0.07793 and closed the reading at $0.07732, about 3.43% under the $0.079761 reading on October 23.
An EMA is a trend line that weights recent prices more heavily. All four EMAs lines slope down and sit above the price. The 20 EMA, about 2.7% higher, is the first ceiling, and the short-term trend is negative.

Bull case: A move toward $0.08405 opens if $DOGE closes a 4-hour candle above the EMA 20 at $0.07943 and then the EMA 50 at $0.08051.
Bear case: If $DOGE closes a 4-hour candle below $0.07604, the October 18 low would fail, and price could slide toward $0.06999.

It would take a gain of about 24% from $0.07732. Any Dogecoin prediction near that level needs more than a trendline story, since $DOGE must clear all four EMAs, $0.08405 and $0.08800 first.

Dogecoin Price Prediction: Expert View

A 4-hour read can change fast. The setup stays cautious while the price is under all four EMAs, so watch whether $DOGE holds $0.07604.
