Solana news on Oct 24, 2026, centers on two developments from the past day. A tokenized Apple stock went live, and two perpetual trading platforms merged.
This <a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/crypto-news-today-october-23-bitcoin-81k-eth-dacity-coin-price" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">crypto news</a> report covers both updates, SOL market data, and the details readers should watch next. It follows the recent Alpenglow mainnet upgrade, which shortened finality time on the network.
<h2 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-apple-stock-token-goes-live-through-sunrise-span-span">Apple Stock Token Goes Live Through Sunrise</h2>
The official<a href="https://x.com/solana" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Solana account</a> posted on X on Oct 24, 2026. It said $AAPL is now live on the network. Sunrise described the asset as a new listing, issued by Backpack Securities.
This listing is the main Solana news item of the day. Tokenized stocks are blockchain tokens meant to represent shares of listed companies. The segment drew attention earlier this week through data on tokenized equity holders.

<h2 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-perp-platforms-merge-as-gmx-adds-builder-fees-span-span">Perp Platforms Merge as GMX Adds Builder Fees</h2>
A <a href="https://x.com/SolanaFloor/status/2113624208379117772?s=20" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">post on X on Oct 23</a>, 2026, said gmTrade has merged with GMX. The post called gmTrade the largest perp DEX by volume on the network.
A perp DEX is a <a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/crypto-blogs-details/what-is-perp-dex-hyperliquid-style-trading" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">decentralized exchange for perpetual futures</a>. These contracts let traders hold leveraged positions with no expiry date.
GMX also launched Builder Fees that day, according to the post. The feature lets developers earn fees on trades routed through their apps. That can give app teams income tied to real trading activity.
This merger is the second major update in the latest Solana news.

<h2 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-expert-take-wider-access-thin-details-span-span">Expert Take: Wider Access, Thin Details</h2>
From an analytical view, both updates widen the range of products on the chain. Tokenized equities add a new asset class for onchain users. Builder fees give developers a clearer path to earn from trading flow.
A merged perp platform may pool liquidity and users in one place. Yet risks remain. Tokenized stocks depend on an issuer, so users rely on that issuer’s structure and rules. A merger can also raise questions on migration and costs.
For readers following <a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/solana-news-alpenglow-live-mainnet-finality" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Solana news</a>, the main gap is detail. The price data shows no clear link between these updates and the daily SOL move.
<h2 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-what-readers-should-track-next-span-span">What Readers Should Track Next</h2>
Tokenized stocks and merged perp platforms both point to broader activity across the ecosystem. Readers should watch official project channels for AAPL access terms, merger details, and Builder Fees adoption.
Verified posts remain the most reliable guide. <a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/solana-asia-expansion-hong-kong-strategic-enterprise" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Fresh Solana news</a> in the coming days should clarify how these changes work in practice. Updates to price, volume, and listings will also show how the market reacts.
