In its announcement, the team said its token and public network need “the most battle-tested public infrastructure out there.” Today, it said, that means Arbitrum. The team also pointed to the partners and builders already active in the Arbitrum ecosystem.
Public infrastructure matters because a token and a public network depend on it for security, uptime, and access to developers. A well-used base layer can also make it easier for outside projects to build on top of GenLayer.
This is not a full break with ZKsync. The team thanked ZKsync for the years of work together and said the two will keep collaborating on Prividium and enterprise projects. Only the home of the token and the public network is changing.

What Is GenLayer, and How Does Its AI Blockchain Work?

Arbitrum describes GenLayer as the adjudication layer for the agentic economy. In this model, validators run different AI models and use them to make onchain judgments for intelligent contracts.
A normal smart contract follows fixed code and gives the same result every time. It handles clear rules well, but it struggles with questions that need judgment. GenLayer aims to cover that gap by letting AI-based validators weigh in on such questions.
This approach needs steady public infrastructure, since many parties must rely on the results. It also carries open questions. An AI judgment is not automatically correct, and no source in this announcement shows the system is immune to manipulation. Readers should treat those points as unproven until the project publishes evidence.

GenLayer says the next phase of Bradbury is now live. One secondary report describes it as a step toward mainnet. The announcement itself does not call Bradbury a mainnet launch, and this article does not either.
The post confirms that the phase is live. It does not list technical upgrades, testing goals, or deployment changes. Readers who want those details should check GenLayer’s official documentation before drawing conclusions.

GenLayer Airdrop and Token Launch Date: Registration Details

GenLayer Foundation says airdrop registration is open until Monday, October 26, and only registered wallets can claim later.
Eligibility needs a qualifying Discord role, or 150+ GenLayer Points plus an accepted contribution or Discord XP, checked at the final snapshot on Sunday, October 25. Registration is free of gas fees.
Tokens unlock over four months: 20% on claim day, then 20% monthly. Withdrawing early forfeits locked tokens. The TGE date, GEN listing date, exchange names, GenLayer token price, and full tokenomics are still unannounced.
Verify every step on GenLayer’s official portal and avoid unofficial claim links.

GenLayer announced a Pre-TGE Community AMA with Foundation CEO Edgars Nemse. It is set for Friday at 13:30 UTC. The team says it will answer recent community questions about the airdrop, the TGE, and related topics. The calendar date was not stated in the posts, so confirm it on the official GenLayer account before you plan around it.
The posts do not give the following details:

Exact TGE date and time

Token price

Genlayer Airdrop eligibility rules and allocation

Claim steps

Crypto Exchange listings

Until GenLayer publishes them, any figure or date you see elsewhere is unverified. The AMA is also not proof that the Genlayer airdrop will happen at a set time.
Scams often follow Genlayer airdrop news. Use only links posted on GenLayer’s verified channels. Never share a seed phrase, and be wary of any site that asks you to connect a wallet to “claim” tokens.

The next steps to watch are official TGE and GenLayer airdrop terms, public network deployment details, Bradbury progress, and how the Arbitrum move affects current users. A migration alone does not set a token’s future price or guarantee an airdrop. For now, own channels are the best source.
