Dogecoin

Long

Anyone reading a dogecoin price prediction this week is waiting on one thing, a move. The futures market just placed its bet. On October 16, 71.3% of DOGE futures accounts were set to win from a rise, per TokenPost. Yet DOGE had slipped 3.5% in seven days, per CryptoTicker.

A crowd this one sided can flip fast, and every one of those bets costs a fee to hold. Some buyers have found a way to sit on the other side of that math. They have put more than $11.1 million into Pepeto, a meme coin that has not listed anywhere yet. Its holders get paid to wait instead of paying.

DOGE Futures Bets Climb 8.49% as Most Traders Lean Long

The freshest clue for any dogecoin price prediction came from futures on October 16. Open bets on DOGE rose 8.49% in a day to $216.5 million, TokenPost reported. On OKX, traders held 4.17 long accounts for every short one, close to 81% long, CryptoTicker found.

That is a crowd leaning hard in one direction, since Bitcoin's ratio was only 1.61. Those longs also pay a fee of 0.0056% every eight hours, about 6.1% a year, per TokenPost. So the crowd is paying, day after day, for a rise that has not shown up yet.

71% of DOGE Bets Point Up, but Holding Them Costs About 6.1% a Year

Pepeto Stakers Earn 161% APY While DOGE Longs Pay to Hold

Those long bets come with a catch. They cost money every eight hours, and the bettor gets nothing back if DOGE stalls. A flat week simply drains the account.

Pepeto flips that math around, and buyers have noticed. Its presale has pulled more than $11.1 million into one new token before a single exchange lists it. That is serious money for a coin still at a stage price of $0.00000019, with its Binance listing approaching.

Then there is size. DOGE's $216.5 million in open bets is spread across a coin worth $12.8 billion. Pepeto's $11.1 million sits in one coin that has not even listed yet.

The same dollar pushes a small coin far harder than a giant one, and that is exactly where big multiples are born.

The real split comes with staking. Pepeto stakers earn 161% APY today and claim those rewards at listing. The rate moves daily with the reward pool, while locked plans hold the rate shown at sign up for the full term.

So a DOGE long pays to wait for a move, while a Pepeto staker gets paid to wait for one. Buyers have already trusted the presale with real money, and listing day is when stakers collect.

Each stage that sells out raises the price for the next buyer, so today's stage is the best entry left before that payday.

Dogecoin Price Prediction: Can DOGE Reach $0.10 This Month?

DOGE can reach $0.10 this month once it clears three lines. It trades at $0.08175, up 2.13% in a day, and 89% below its $0.7376 peak from May 8, 2021. Today, the line to beat is the $0.0825 day high, with support at $0.0779, per CryptoTicker.

This week, DOGE needs to win back its 50 day average at $0.0871, CoinCentral noted on October 16. Its daily RSI sits near 35, close to the 30 line where traders start hunting for a bounce.

This month, analyst Trader Tardigrade watches a chart pattern whose top line sits near $0.10, and a monthly close above it would confirm the turn. A drop under $0.075 opens $0.070.

On the way up, Crypto Patel sees $0.1186 as the next wall, then $0.2818. Even that bigger target is about 3.4x from here. Good money for a coin this size, yet modest next to what an unlisted coin can do.

Dogecoin Price Prediction Takeaway: DOGE Once Climbed From $0.0012 to $0.73, and Pepeto Has Not Listed Yet

The real gap in this dogecoin price prediction is size. DOGE is worth $12.8 billion, so even $0.10 needs about $2.8 billion of new money. Pepeto has not listed yet, so it starts from a far smaller base, and small bases move fastest.

DOGE once had that small base too. It traded at $0.0012 on March 13, 2020, per Benzinga, and topped $0.73 the next May, per Decrypt. That was roughly 600x in fourteen months for the holders who bought before the crowd arrived.

Pepeto is at that same starting line now. Buying this stage on the Pepeto official website, before it sells out, is the closest thing to a 2020 DOGE entry left.
