Strong bearish momentum is seen in an established downtrend.

The dominant asset, Bitcoin (BTC), is currently trading within the $81,502 range, with a 24-hour range falling between $80,760 and $82,816. Moreover, the asset’s seven-day range stretches from $79,805 to $84,231. The trading volume of the token sits at $25.82 billion.
Also, BTC is showing an accumulation signal. In the midst of its boring price action, it is occurring repeatedly. The trend clearly shows bearish momentum on the chart. It went below $80K, and buyers showed activity and returned the price to the $82,000 zone for stability.
$83K zone is the significant resistance BTC has failed to reclaim. Every attempt at this level has been met with sellers defending it. Until it breaks above and holds it on the 4-hour chart, the steady recovery stays unconfirmed. Significantly, a rejection at the $81.2K opens the door toward the $80K mark.

The $81,647 resistance needs to be broken. A clean 4-hour close above it makes $82K or above the next target. The descending trendline near $80K has tested and is acting as a strong barrier. Besides, losing the $81K range would make the chart look considerably less comfortable. Below $79,680, the watch zone drops to $78K–$76K; the next crucial support sits.
The technical chart analysis suggests that the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) line is below the signal line. As both are found below the zero line, it signals strong bearish momentum in an established downtrend.
Being below the zero line confirms the overall market trend is down. Falling below the signal line indicates that short-term selling pressure is picking up, making negative momentum even stronger. Furthermore, this is a sell signal, as the price is likely to test lower support levels.

In addition, the daily Relative Strength Index (RSI) indicator value at 43.94 signals mild bearish momentum with slight selling pressure, though it remains in overall neutral territory. Sitting below the 50 mark indicates that sellers currently have a slight edge over buyers.
It has not dropped below the 30 threshold, and the asset is not yet in oversold territory. A continued drop toward 30 signals intensifying selling momentum, while a recovery back above 50 would signal buyers regaining control.
