Securitize has launched tokenized U.S. stocks on Solana, bringing on-chain security entitlements to 12 major American equities for the first time through a registered broker-dealer platform. The product, called Securitize Stocks, represents a significant step in the real-world asset tokenization movement, combining established securities law with blockchain-native settlement.

Securitize announced Securitize Stocks on October 8, 2026, initially launching on Solana. The initial offering covers security entitlements to 12 named U.S. equities: AAPL, MSFT, NVDA, GOOG, TSLA, META, AMZN, NFLX, CRCL, SPCX, MSTR, and PLTR.

Each token is backed one-for-one by an underlying share and represents a security entitlement under UCC Article 8, including applicable dividends and voting rights. Eligible investors in the United States, European Union, and other permitted jurisdictions access the product through Securitize's registered broker-dealer; transactions settle in USDC and initially trade during extended hours.
Carlos Domingo, CEO of Securitize, framed the mission around ownership parity:

One important caveat from independent coverage: token holders are not directly recorded on issuers' shareholder registries, and the underlying companies do not sponsor or endorse the initial offerings. The digital ownership layer is real, but it operates through Securitize's entitlement structure, not a direct issuer relationship.
This launch builds on Securitize's growing Solana presence. The firm previously tokenized its own SECZ stock on Solana, and the network has been positioning itself for institutional RWA activity, including a partnership with SBI on Japan's on-chain financial markets.

Why Solana and What the Regulatory Framework Enables

Nick Ducoff of the Solana Foundation described the network's ambition for this moment directly:

SOL was trading at $111.20, up 1.22% over 24 hours, at the time of the research snapshot, with a market cap of approximately $65.5 billion. The broader crypto market Fear and Greed Index registered 69, signaling a risk-on environment as the launch landed.

The regulatory backdrop is equally notable. On September 17, 2026, the SEC issued an Innovation Exemption giving Tokenized Securities Venues temporary, conditional relief from the exchange definition to trade tokenized NMS stock through permissioned AMM liquidity pools. The exemption includes symbol and volume limits, equivalent shareholder rights verification, issuer notice and objection rights, auditable public smart contracts, synchronized trading halts, and public operational disclosures. It expires five years after publication.

Securitize has stated that its current broker-dealer secondary trading does not rely on that exemption. The SEC framework applies to future Tokenized Securities Venue listings, which remain subject to additional launch, listing, and regulatory requirements.

What Comes Next for Securitize Stocks

Securitize has indicated plans for 24/7 trading venues, including potential connectivity to an NYSE digital venue and OKXICE TSV, though both remain subject to launch, listing, regulatory, and operational requirements with no confirmed timeline. Treating those as live features would be premature.

Readers should also watch for updates on geographic access expansion, additional equity symbols beyond the initial 12, and any SEC response to comment requests on the Innovation Exemption framework. The intersection of UCC Article 8 entitlement structures with on-chain settlement is new legal territory, and how issuers exercise their objection rights under the SEC order will shape whether tokenized equity infrastructure scales across more chains and brokers.
