when

Can NEAR keep climbing when the daily chart barely moves? It trades near $5.21 right now, and that stillness hides a lot.
This NEAR Protocol price prediction checks the<a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/near-protocol-price-prediction-october-2026-forecast" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">earlier October forecast</a> against fresh numbers from Oct 11, 2026, around 09:10 UTC. Tight range. Big questions.
<h2 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-near-price-today-where-trading-stands-span-span">NEAR Price Today: Where Trading Stands</h2>
The NEAR price today reads $5.21 onCoinMarketCap NEAR data, up 0.11% in 24 hours.
The daily range ran from $5.18 to $5.42. Narrow, but not dead. And the token still sits 74.45% below its $20.42 peak from Jan 17, 2022.
<h2 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-trading-volume-and-market-cap-span-span">Trading Volume and Market Cap</h2>
Volume slid 13.22% to $822.66M, while NEAR market cap holds at $6.83B. Circulating supply is 1.3B NEAR, matching total supply. Maximum supply has no cap. Cooler volume, though. That usually means a pause, not a panic.
<h2 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-why-is-near-moving-today-span-span">Why Is NEAR Moving Today?</h2>
Price barely budged. Volume cooled. Headlines kept coming. Longs took the latest liquidation hit. Shorts had the day before. Fresh<a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/ai/crypto-news" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">AI crypto news</a> keeps attention on the NEAR narrative anyway.
<h2 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-near-quantum-headline-span-img-alt-designed-with-quantum-in-mind-src-https-d3iuzwoiyg9qa8-cloudfront-net-webadmin-storage-public-commonediterimage-yjcz0obcnozheimyje8t2b5m4n5biepnliv9kjsx-png-width-300-title-designed-with-quantum-in-mind-span-span-span">NEAR Quantum Headline<img alt="designed with quantum in mind " src="https://d3iuzwoiyg9qa8.cloudfront.net/webadmin/storage/public/commonEditerImage/YjCz0ObcNOzHeIMyJE8T2b5M4n5bIEPNLIV9kjsx.png" width="300" title="designed with quantum in mind "></h2>
NEAR Protocol's official account says the chain was<a href="https://x.com/NEARProtocol/status/2109035052919373882?s=20" style="font-size: 16px; background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255)" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">designed with quantum in mind</a> since 2018.
Accounts already support post-quantum signing on the mainnet. A co-founder told The Rollup on Oct 9 that users can upgrade without moving assets.
Narrative fuel, possibly. But the price hasn't confirmed it yet.
<h2 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-near-intents-and-zcash-chatter-span-span">NEAR Intents and Zcash Chatter</h2>
NEAR Intents' official feed broke down the<a href="https://x.com/NEARProtocol/status/2108912937305784484?s=20" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">NEAR and Zcash connection</a> within the last day.
Alex Shevchenko argues the Zcash rally shows the setup NEAR is building toward. That's opinion, not data. And opinion moves price for a day, rarely a month.
<h2 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-near-etf-flows-span-span">NEAR ETF Flows</h2>
<a href="https://sosovalue.com/assets/etf/us-near-spot" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">SoSoValue ETF data</a> shows the Bitwise NEAR ETF, ticker NRR, pulled $5.13M in net inflows on Oct 9, 2026.
Cumulative inflows reach $71.40M. Net assets stand at $66.70M, about 1.08% of the NEAR market cap. Small, sure. But inflows climbed three days running: $3.34M, $4.04M, then $5.13M.
<h2 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-futures-volume-open-interest-and-liquidations-span-span">Futures Volume, Open Interest, and Liquidations</h2>
<a href="https://www.coinglass.com/currencies/NEAR" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Coinglass derivatives data</a> lists $1.86B in futures volume against $296.00M in spot. Open interest sits at $1.64B.
Derivatives run more than six times the spot. Leverage steers this tape.
Liquidations, meaning forced closures of leveraged bets, hit $3.31M in 24 hours. Shorts took $2.26M and longs $1.05M.
Binance top-trader positions read 2.2553, so large accounts lean long. OKX reads 0.63. Mixed crowd.
<h2 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-near-technical-analysis-ascending-channel-span-img-alt-near-technical-analysis-ascending-channel-src-https-d3iuzwoiyg9qa8-cloudfront-net-webadmin-storage-public-commonediterimage-tf53jj9bjvqhkmqpyhk4yeedl1x02mqwcjilagfk-png-width-300-title-near-technical-analysis-ascending-channel-span-span-span">NEAR Technical Analysis: Ascending Channel<img alt="NEAR Technical Analysis: Ascending Channel" src="https://d3iuzwoiyg9qa8.cloudfront.net/webadmin/storage/public/commonEditerImage/tf53Jj9bJvQhKMqPYhK4yeedl1X02MQwCjiLagFk.png" width="300" title="NEAR Technical Analysis: Ascending Channel"></h2>
NEAR technical analysis on the TradingView NEARUSDT chart shows an ascending channel on the 1-hour timeframe at Binance.
That's two rising trendlines fencing the climb. Price trades near $5.27, testing the lower rail. Hold it, and the rising structure survives. Lose it, and the story changes fast.
<h2 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-rsi-ema-and-adx-readings-span-span">RSI, EMA, and ADX Readings</h2>
RSI reads 53.77. Neutral. EMA lines, averages that weight recent trades more, stack bullish: $5.254 at 20 EMA, $5.157 at 50 EMA, $5.089 at 100 EMA, and $5.024 at 200 EMA. ADX, a trend strength gauge, reads 24.93 after peaking near 40. Fading.&nbsp; So is fading strength a warning or just a breather?
<h2 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-near-support-levels-span-span">NEAR Support Levels</h2>
First support sits at $5.024, the 200 EMA, then the $4.942 support zone. Below that, $4.300 marks the recent swing low. Support first. Then the harder part, resistance.
<h2 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-near-resistance-levels-span-span">NEAR Resistance Levels</h2>
Resistance starts at $5.295, then the $5.585 zone, with a $5.595 high just above it. Next comes $6.220. Earlier coverage of the<a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/price-prediction/near-protocol-price-prediction-near-forecast-5-target" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">NEAR $5 target</a> set the stage for this fight. Resistance, not support, is the problem. Specifically $5.595.
<h2 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-bull-case-near-price-prediction-toward-6-22-span-span">Bull Case: NEAR Price Prediction Toward $6.22</h2>
Bull case: NEAR trades above $5.595 and holds, with volume rising. That opens $6,220 over the next seven days to October's end. Invalidation sits below $4.942. A<a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/price-prediction/near-protocol-price-prediction-is-dollar10-just-the-beginning" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">NEAR $10 outlook</a> would need far more fuel than that.
<h2 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-base-case-near-price-prediction-range-span-span">Base Case: NEAR Price Prediction Range</h2>
Base case: NEAR chops between $5.024 and $5.585 for about a week. RSI near 54 fits that, and so does a tired ADX.
Levels in the<a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/price-prediction/near-protocol-price-prediction-september-2026" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">September NEAR forecast</a> show how far price has travelled. Bias stays bullish while $4.942 holds.
<h2 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-bear-case-near-price-prediction-downside-span-span">Bear Case: NEAR Price Prediction Downside</h2>
Bear case: NEAR trades below $4.942, leaves the channel, and slides toward $4.300 within days. Reclaiming the $5.254 20 EMA cancels it. Plausible, not likely. Leverage plus fading trend strength keeps it alive though.
<h2 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-near-price-target-claims-8-13-and-21-span-img-alt-a-whale-factor-weekly-chart-calls-src-https-d3iuzwoiyg9qa8-cloudfront-net-webadmin-storage-public-commonediterimage-x99ywx7hu2vebga4t4wkhzhvjcxc7hehcgtyfmvc-png-width-300-title-a-whale-factor-weekly-chart-calls-span-span-span">NEAR Price Target Claims: $8, $13, and $21<img alt="A Whale Factor weekly chart calls" src="https://d3iuzwoiyg9qa8.cloudfront.net/webadmin/storage/public/commonEditerImage/X99YWx7hu2vEbGa4t4WKhzHVjCxC7hEhcgtYfMVc.png" width="300" title="A Whale Factor weekly chart calls"></h2>
A<a href="https://x.com/WhaleFactor/status/2109018688816861582?s=20" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Whale Factor weekly chart</a> calls a broken multi-year downtrend and lists targets at $8.00, $13.00, and $21.00. Wild targets? Actually, $8.00 isn't crazy, since it needs about 54% more from $5.21. But $21 would beat the $20.42 high. That's a different bet.
<h2 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-near-long-term-price-outlook-span-span">NEAR Long-Term Price Outlook</h2>
For the rest of 2026, $4.300 to $6.220 works as the realistic range from current levels.
NEAR price prediction for 2027 depends on ETF demand, Intents usage, and whether that $20.42 high stays distant. Past gains, like 245.41% year to date, aren't forecasts. The<a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/price-prediction/near-protocol-price-prediction-near-explodes-eyes-20-next" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">earlier $20 chart debate</a> still frames the long game.
<h2 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-what-to-watch-next-span-span">What to Watch Next</h2>
Three things matter: a hold above $4.942, a push through $5.595, and ETF inflows. Dates for possible catalysts sit in the<a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/coin-events-calendar" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">coin events calendar</a>.
<h2 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-what-could-change-the-outlook-span-span">What Could Change the Outlook?</h2>
NEAR Intents activity is the demand story. If<a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/near-protocol-price-prediction-intents-volume-rally" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">record Intents volume</a> fades, the bull case weakens. Stalling ETF inflows would hurt too. And a quantum headline alone won't carry price.
<h2 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-risks-that-could-change-the-near-protocol-price-prediction-span-span">Risks That Could Change the NEAR Protocol Price Prediction</h2>
Leverage cuts both ways. One crowded side gets flushed fast. Bitcoin sets the tone for altcoins, so any<a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/price-prediction/bitcoin-price-prediction" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Bitcoin price prediction</a> shift can override a NEAR chart.
<h2 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-final-takeaway-span-span">Final Takeaway</h2>
Bias leans cautiously bullish. The channel is intact, EMAs are stacked, and ETF inflows are rising. But ADX is fading, and $5.595 hasn't broken. This NEAR Protocol price prediction favors a range of $5.024 to $5.585 until one side wins.
