Bitcoin, Ethereum and stablecoins still fund most crypto casino balances. Next to them, a newer group of coins has reached the cashier, each tied to a blockchain launched in the past few years.

These coins work differently from one another. Some pay the fees on their own chain, while others serve as governance tokens on networks that charge fees in ETH, and that difference decides what a wallet needs before a deposit.

Below: what makes a coin a newer-chain coin, the gas question, eight newer-chain coins at the casino cashier, and three checks before a deposit.

What Makes a Coin a Newer-Chain Coin

Newer-chain coins belong to networks that went live from 2020 onwards. They fall into two broad groups.

Native coins pay transaction fees on their own chain, as SUI does on Sui and AVAX does on Avalanche. Governance tokens give holders a vote on a network's direction, while users pay fees in another coin, usually ETH.

The Gas Question

Every transfer needs the chain's fee coin in the wallet, whatever token moves. The table shows which coin pays the fee on each network covered here.

Arbitrum and Optimism catch out many new users. Hold 200 ARB and zero ETH on Arbitrum, and the ARB cannot move.

Entries run in launch-year order, from the oldest network to the newest token, as an unranked list.

1. Polygon (POL)

Polygon's proof-of-stake chain launched in 2020 under the Matic name. In September 2024, the network began a move from MATIC to POL as its native token, so older guides may still mention MATIC.

2. Avalanche (AVAX)

Ava Labs launched Avalanche's mainnet in September 2020. Casino deposits use its C-Chain, the network's Ethereum-compatible chain, which some cashiers label AVAXC.

3. Metis (METIS)

Metis Andromeda went live in 2021 as an Ethereum layer 2. METIS pays fees on its own network, so a deposit on Metis needs only METIS in the wallet.

4. Arbitrum (ARB)

Arbitrum One launched in 2021 as one of Ethereum's largest layer 2 networks. The ARB governance token followed with an airdrop in March 2023, while fees on Arbitrum stay in ETH.

5. Optimism (OP)

Optimism opened its mainnet in December 2021 and distributed the OP governance token in 2022. Like Arbitrum, it charges fees in ETH.

6. Sui (SUI)

Mysten Labs launched Sui's mainnet in May 2023, built around the Move smart contract language. SUI pays fees on the network, and some cashiers also accept other tokens on Sui, such as USDC.

7. Chiliz (CHZ)

Chiliz operates the fan token platform used by football clubs, and its own Chiliz Chain went live in 2023. CHZ pays fees there and links casino and sportsbook balances to the fan token world.

8. Worldcoin (WLD)

Worldcoin, from Tools for Humanity, launched WLD in July 2023 on Optimism. Its project later opened World Chain, its own layer 2, yet casino cashiers commonly list WLD on Optimism, where fees stay in ETH.

Three Checks Before a Deposit

Newer chains bring a few extra details to watch.

Network label: match the deposit option to the chain that holds the coin in your wallet, since AVAX on a different Avalanche chain or POL on Ethereum needs a separate route

Fee coin: hold a little ETH on Arbitrum or Optimism, and the native coin on the other networks

Wallet permissions: wallet connections can request token approvals, so review them now and then

Our look at token approvals explains why old permissions deserve a regular clean-up.

Newer-Chain Coins at Dexsport

Dexsport accepts all eight coins on their own networks, among 56 assets across 26 networks. It added CHZ in February 2026 alongside a $50,000 CHZ Mega Drop campaign.

These coins fund the casino and sportsbook, while Dexsport prediction markets take stablecoins only. Each coin and network has its own withdrawal floor pegged to a US dollar value, so the token amount shifts with price.

Dexsport's licence comes from Anjouan via Dexapp LTD. Asset lists change, so check the cashier before each deposit. Our comparison of widest network support shows how other casinos compare.

Conclusion

Eight newer-chain coins, from POL and AVAX to SUI, CHZ and WLD, now reach the casino cashier. Five of them pay fees on their own networks, while ARB, OP and WLD live on chains that charge fees in ETH.

That split decides what a wallet needs before a deposit. Match the network label, keep the right fee coin on hand, and review wallet permissions from time to time.

Check the law where you live, play only at legal age, and expect that KYC or AML checks may apply. Responsible gambling also means a budget set in dollars, since newer-chain coins can swing sharply.
