Story

Ethereum

High-volume crypto trader @machibigbrother has made a decisive move amid a broader market selloff, exiting his leveraged long positions in $BTC, $HYPE, and $PUMP at a loss and consolidating all of his exposure into a single Ethereum trade.

A High-Stakes Pivot to ETH

Machi Big Brother closed long positions in HYPE, BTC, and PUMP to cut losses during the ongoing market downturn, subsequently consolidating his capital into a single high-conviction bet on Ethereum. His current position consists of 29,000 ETH valued at $73.64 million, with a leveraged long carrying a liquidation price of $2,486.33, marking a significant strategic shift as broader crypto assets face downward pressure.

That liquidation price is the level at which the position would be forcibly closed if losses deepen. With ETH trading only a narrow margin above that threshold, the trade leaves little room for error and will be closely watched by the market.

On-Chain Data Tells the Story

The moves were flagged by Lookonchain, a widely followed on-chain analytics platform. Lookonchain specialises in tracking the movements of large wallets on the blockchain, scanning on-chain data daily and publishing wallet operations with key signals in real time.

The move shifts the whale's exposure away from HYPE, BTC, and PUMP while maintaining a concentrated bullish position in ETH. It is not the first time Machi has made headlines with a bold leveraged call. The prominent trader has a track record of actively adjusting risk as Ethereum prices move, having previously absorbed more than $5 million in losses over a single week while trimming a perpetual long position.

The latest repositioning reflects a pattern seen across high-conviction leveraged traders: cutting diversified risk and doubling down on a single asset with concentrated exposure. Whether the $73.64M ETH long pays off will depend heavily on whether Ethereum can hold ground above the $2,486 liquidation level in the near term.
