Rally

This Crypto News Today update covers a sharp 24-hour move in ZCAT price, the token behind the Anonymous Cat project on Solana.
A rally this size naturally draws attention, but the bigger question is whether it actually reverses a decline that's been building for weeks.

BSCN’s “Anonymous Cat Rebounds Despite Monthly Losses” reports that ZCAT climbed over the past 25 hours but remains down roughly 30% for the month. Its core mechanism is a transaction tax funding holder rewards paid in Zcash.
However, ZCAT itself provides no transaction privacy, as Solana activity remains publicly visible.
This piece uses BSCN’s report as the reference point while checking the move against independent market data and adding context the post does not cover.

Worth flagging directly: BSCN's post and CoinGecko show different numbers for the same move; BSCN's own price card reads $0.0626 and +44.73%, while CoinGecko shows $0.059 and +28.3%.
Different platforms and different capture times are a normal source of discrepancy in fast-moving tokens, but it means a single tweet's figures shouldn't be treated as the definitive number without checking against live market data.

How Deep Was the Monthly Decline This Rally Is Reacting Against?

ZCAT traded at $0.088 on September 10, meaning today's $0.059 price is still roughly 33% below that level despite the rally. Market cap tells a sharper version of the same story: it stood near $126M on September 7, so the current $57.05M figure reflects a decline of roughly 55% from that peak.
That context matters for reading today's move correctly. A 28.3% single-day gain looks significant in isolation, but against a 55% drawdown from last month's high, it's a partial bounce, not a reversal.

How Does ZCAT's Zcash Reward Mechanism Actually Work?

ZCAT carries a permanent 3% transfer tax that funds ZEC rewards for eligible holders, with wallets holding over $20 qualifying. As of September 16, roughly 5,963 ZEC, worth about $8 million then, had been distributed.
Unlike fixed yields, payouts depend on trading activity. The reward system uses an external engine, while the team remains anonymous, details sometimes missed in fast crypto news coverage.

Is This Rally Likely to Hold?

Nothing in the sources reviewed confirms that. The clearest signal to watch is whether trading volume holds near or above today's $4.974M level; a drop-off there would be consistent with a short-lived bounce rather than sustained demand.
The 24-hour range itself, from $0.03975 to $0.06669, shows a roughly 68% swing within a single day, a level of volatility that cuts in both directions just as easily.

Conclusion

Today's ZCAT rally is confirmed by both BSCN and CoinGecko, though percentages vary by source and timing.
However, it has not reversed the roughly 30% monthly decline or 55% market-cap drop since early September.
Whether this is a genuine recovery depends on sustained volume and ZEC-denominated rewards in upcoming sessions.
