Stockhunt announced CoinIQ, a self-custody decentralized exchange, at TOKEN2049 Singapore, positioning the product within the growing segment of non-custodial trading infrastructure. The unveiling marks the project's public debut at one of Asia's most prominent crypto industry gatherings.

Stockhunt Takes the TOKEN2049 Stage With CoinIQ

TOKEN2049 Singapore has established itself as a key venue for project launches and protocol announcements targeting the Asian crypto market. Stockhunt chose the event to introduce CoinIQ to builders, investors, and regional exchange operators attending the conference.
No additional details, including supported chains, fee structures, token launches, or go-live timelines, were confirmed in available announcement materials at the time of publication. Further specifications are expected to follow the initial unveiling.
What "Self-Custody DEX" Means for Southeast Asian Users

A self-custody DEX allows users to trade directly from wallets they control, without depositing funds onto a centralized platform. This removes the counterparty risk associated with exchange-held balances, a concern that became acute across Southeast Asian markets following high-profile centralized exchange collapses in prior years. For related coverage, see Best No KYC Crypto Casinos 2026: Play Anonymously Without Uploading Your ID.

For the roughly 700 million people across the ASEAN region, self-custody infrastructure matters because local regulators in markets such as Indonesia, the Philippines, and Thailand have moved to tighten oversight of centralized exchanges. Platforms like MEXC have responded to shifting market conditions with product and brand repositioning, reflecting broader pressure on centralized venues. A self-custody DEX model sidesteps some of that regulatory exposure by design.

The non-custodial category has seen sustained interest in Southeast Asia, where mobile-first users often interact with DeFi protocols through wallet apps rather than desktop interfaces. Whether CoinIQ is optimized for that usage pattern remains an open question until Stockhunt publishes further technical documentation.

Open Questions Ahead of Launch

Prospective users and regional exchange operators will be watching for specifics that the TOKEN2049 announcement did not address: which blockchain networks CoinIQ supports, whether the platform includes its own liquidity layer or routes through existing DEX aggregators, and how the product handles cross-border compliance requirements that vary significantly between ASEAN jurisdictions.

Projects that unveil infrastructure products at major conferences typically follow up with technical whitepapers, testnet access, or developer documentation within weeks of the public announcement. No such materials were publicly available at the time of writing.
